topology optimization would be a very perfect example on how to use AdaptivePartsEnvironment so many people can use this technology in a simplified way. Very nice video showing the potential of this technology, hope to see more rsults in real life soon!

Of course, FINITE ELEMENT METHOD brought us here and FINITE VOLUME METHOD. Finally. :P TOPOLOGY OPTIMIZATION is amazing and I will use it for my designs. On the other hand I'm more conservative i.e. less organic without using those bone shaped optimized castings. Waffle structures comes to mind. I do really like this approach but my preferences goes with Pier Luigi Nervi, Felix Candela among others like Santiago Calatrava and Antonio Gaudi. In my opinion structural design optimization is in its infancy. There is a lot of learning and maturity. Without the risk of this ending in a fad many structural engineers are approaching this with care and the right approach. I think that architects and engineers of Cathedrals intuitively used these techniques with nerved structures at a basic level. It's an old strategy that got a new level of comprehension like the materialization and visualization of internal forces such as shear, stress, torque, strain, tension and compression. Mohr circles and hysteresis are being used as design tools too such as the expansion and contraction of pieces due to heat loss or heat gain. This is an amazing set and strategy for design of structures such as the TPMS or triply periodic minimal surfaces, the Erwin Hauer linked structures of double and triple skins, the weaving and the families of Kagome like structures. I do like the approach but I don't abuse much the aesthetics. It is indeed highly relevant but Zaha Hadid had her time. :P.

I've only seen Topology optimization software in Fusion 360, I had no idea that it was possible in Grasshopper. Really looking foward to a tutorial on this in the future.

Is it a coincidence that those structures look like bones? I think, skeletons might have been optimized through evolution, as creatures with lighter bodies could move (hunt/escape) easier, creating an advantage
