I can definitely see why someone would pick "Gurenge" over "Kawaki wo Ameku". LiSA just sounds so smooth and clean in her song, while Minami sounds like she's straining in parts of hers(which was totally done on purpose). On a first take I'd take "Gurenge" if I didn't know the meaning of the lyrics in "Kawaki wo Ameku".

@@LFanimes333 yeah, not disagreeing, just saying i've seen good openings omitted from both personal lists (in the name of subverting expectations, I believe the uploader for this one's own personal list had Kimetsu at 34th place) and great openings missing out due to bad voting with popular series with bad openings often winning over less popular series with better openings. this list seems mostly on point, though I'd personally have 99.9 from Mob Psycho much higher.

Finally a proper list, every list I saw always had Gurenge either beneath the top 5 or not even in the top 10. Like how does that even work? That song went double platinum in Japan. Lisa herself was surprised by how popular it was, considering Adamas came out at about the same time. And not surprised by Dome Kanojo being at #2, arguably the best romance anime of 2019. A little surprised that Polaris made it that high considering it's only been 2 month since it came out.

Not sure if I agree with LiSa being number one, kinda tired of her vocals, but Kimetsu no Yaiba is extremely popular and ufotable did a great job, so it makes sense regardless. I would've been content with Beastars being top 10, but I remember being all over the ones in top 10 when they came out, not to mention stop-motion isn't appealing to everyone. I didn't count the seconds but, is it just me or the Fire Force OPs are shown very briefly compared to everything else? If that's the case, I don't mind all that much since I really don't like Fire Force, but anime quality aside, Fire Force's 1st OP is probably my fav this year.
