By Cthulhus squirmy beard.... I'm very new to blender, so a lot of things look tricky to me... but I honestly wouldn't have even known where to start on that. But it definiely would have invoved a cube for obvious... and incorrct reasons. I think one of my biggest issues is I still always think solid, and never think to start cutting up a plane. Amazing work.

I suppose one would start at the beginning where things were more heavily explained but 56 videos later its moving at a general pace. if you are a complete beginner I recommend Ryuu kzbin.info/door/EOVGZ2rpLhR7gSPvaexxxQ And Josh kzbin.info They have proven to be effective at bridging the gap for newcomers.

For a recent project I had to model one of these. At first I thought it's gonna be a quick job but there were a lot of fiddly bits that might not be obvious so when I saw the image on your twitter account I couldn't help but think: Oh no. I haven't watched the full video yet but you definitely used a few more elegant solutions than I did which in hindsight I am now kicking myself for not using :p

i'd approach it like that. i.imgur.com/WkBpHs3.png but i can't take the joy of accomplishment away from you. The strategies demonstrated should more than make this an easy session. Just block it in and knife in the next level of detail. Its a nice looking pen.
