I have both Schiit Magni 3+ and Topping A50s. A50s has more power (louder) and zero background noise even at high gain max volume. Magni 3+ has obvious hissing.

Magni Heresy has no hiss at higher volume thanks to opamp design over the discrete obsession Schiit had.

You should know the L30 models before versions 2012 and newer have been exploding headphones and even the AMP units themselves. Many reports on ASR, Reddit, Zeos website etc and definitely would like if you could spread the message

My A50s did the same after 6 months of normal use. Apos replaced it under warranty. 3 weeks later the replacement A50s ruined a 2nd headphone. Lost a Sony - 1AM2 and a Drop 58X to this amp. No way am I trying another A50s replacement.

schiit asgard 3 is a best 200 dollor amp imo also ifi zen can for less price is amazing also i should say ifi zen dac outpot 4vrm in rca in variable (max volium +power match on)

I've watched the Schiit EU shop for about a year now, never seen any interesting amp/dac in stock. They either have serious production issues or just don't care about the european market. Edit: Contacted Schiit support and they say they are unable to restock their distributors because of part delays and limited staffing due to Covid-19. Guess they have just enough for the US market to be still recommended there.

Fantastic review, the value assessment is right on point, I had a few Topping products under the radar, yes they are "topping" the ASR charts when it comes to noise but there are always some caveats. The flaws are passable but not at the asking price, the A50s/D50s stack is their worst value yet not even including P50.

Topping has a chronic problem where they rate their amps on input voltage that most DACs in the price bracket often can't supply so they can pad their power numbers.

I've both A50s for 170$ new on amazon. Everybody said that I'm crazy spending money when I already have JDS Atom. I'm glead they were wrong. For 170$ I havent heard better amp than this and I've heard a lot of them.

I heard the new SMSL 650$ amp has the same problem with it’s watt output rating, it needs something like 6v to achieve it’s rating. That’s crazy, but it has xlr at least. I went full Schiit over the last year and theese reviews of Topping reassures me that my choice is good lol

The vast majority of my content gets 80-90% approval. But I'm not interested in a handful of viewers voting one way or another. Far too many people prejudge content based on like/dislike counts. And, there are a considerable number of trolls who have mass-spammed videos for me and other content creators, so I'm just sidelining the counter.

They did the same thing with the L30, misleading power output due to high vrms dac input. Take that away, and it was just 1W@32.

Yup, it works just fine. It's a neutral setup, though you won't get the maximum power output.

No, there's nothing to worry about regarding the voltage. That's simply an issue regarding overall power output from the A50s.

If you already have the zen dac, why don't you get the zen can instead of going for the Topping stack? That way you can keep using your zen dac without having to purchase another dac.

@@jeffryaf I ended up with both! Topping 50s Stack gives a very neutral and analytic sound. While the Zen DAC gives a warmer tone. I just interchange them depending on the album I’m listening.

You can certainly do that. But the concern is introducing noise into the signal. While the Red does not have audible SNR or THD, when you connect to another amp, you might simply amplify the noise. But, if you have the Red and want to give it a try, it's a fairly simple and cheap experiment.

Ouh boy how agressive 1% of ppl are so salty for that i was spamming 3 different channel for this GL2000 vs Ananda and soon i have Arya and dude in the DMS channel was very rude and was saying that he cant believe me because i was telling the truth just only my opinion and i hate 100% GL2000 for the very poor comfort and too big lowest headband notches dont even help and pff that dude is super stalker because those 3 opinions different channels. Even DMS has same experience like me... But the hype train crushed me LoL.... Hypehysteria or hype psychosis =) ps. i was meant to say that only one person is stalking me 24/7 that is wierd and scary stuff guys :/ And only thing what i want is to help ppl to get insight little bit..

7:51 I’m calling bullshit. If you actually measure the A50s’ frequency response, it is COMPLETELY flat from under 10 Hz to over 30kHz. It makes zero sense to use all these descriptive terms, when what you’re describing is not even the amp!

You clearly are not a happy coder. All I said was that I could easily hear the drums. What the hell is wrong about saying that? I hope you don’t intend to use ASR’s measurements as some definitive evidence about sound quality. After all, Amir’s complete ambivalence towards actually listening to gear is quite well known. It’s also a fact that measured frequency response does not always translate to actual use.
