Topping A50s (clean, but with a little extra bass)

How this compares to ZenDac v2 ? I'm just not a huge fan of Zen Dac v2 sound, for me it's too clean / reference sound with a bit too much crispiness / highs (at least without separate power block ). I know ZeDac is primerily DAC but it still a little amp as well. Is Topping A50s warmer then ZenDacv2 ?

I wouldn’t say it’s warmer, just has a bit more punch in the low end. I also wasn’t a huge fan of Zen DAC headphone amp. Personally, I’d take the A50s, but you could get similar sound from any of those super clean chip based amps.

Hmm, thanks for sharing. A DAC seems like a weird thing to fail.
