CORRECTION... In this video I mention both the retail price and sale price at the time I did my notes for this video. That was about 5 days ago, and it looks like the current price is now the retail price that I stated. $499 for the A70 Pro Headphone Amp, $699 for the D70 Pro Sabre dac, and $1209.99 for the stack plus a pair of XLR cables. Sorry for any inconvenience.

I'm trying the octo with A70 Pro. With I have not the sound mode in the menu? And what filter do you use? Thanks

Good evening again! Right now I’m choosing an amplifier + DAC stack for my Nanos, we talked in another video, you recommended the E50 and L50 as the ideal combination. But I have a question, is there a difference in sound if you take a more expensive stack, like in your video for example A70 PRO/D70 PRO? Will there be any fundamental differences in sound? Is it worth overpaying for a more expensive setup or sticking with the E50-L50? What will a more expensive DAC, instead of the E50, bring new in sound? You have listened to everything and you have a unique experience, please share! Sincerely.

In my opinion the E50/L50 stack is more than adequate for the Hifiman Ananda Nano. You would see a much larger improvement by upgrading headphones to something like the Arya Organic. The headphone will make a much larger difference than upgrading an excellent amp/dac to a more excellent amp/dac.

@@theheadphoneexperience-wil2250 Are you saying that the DAC and amplifier by themselves will not improve the sound much, and the E50 and L50 are already working beyond the limits of hearing and you can stop with them and not bother yourself? Why then do expensive DACs and amps exist? I believe you, because I listened to the expensive system a couple of times and didn’t hear anything particularly new... Thanks for the answer.

@@StarfTodd What I'm saying is that a headphone like the Hifiman Ananda Nano, as great as it is for the price. Is not resolving enough to hear a significant difference between a E50/L50 stack, and a A70/D70 stack. It takes something like an HE1000 or Susvara to really appreciate the upgrade. Even then the differences are small. Although the Susvara and HE6 do benefit from the extra power output of the A70/D70 stack.

How's the power output compared to the HiFiMan Prelude? And is the Prelude a bit warmer?
@theheadphoneexperience-wil22508 ай бұрын
They both have plenty of power for the Susvara or HE-6SE. The prelude is warmer with equal clarity.

can you suggest the correct DB output level setting from dac to the amp in order to avoid damages to the amp?
@theheadphoneexperience-wil22508 ай бұрын
I would set the dac to the fixed "dac" output. That should be fine with almost any amp. If you have too little volume control, you could set the dac to "pre-amp" and adjust the volume down until you have the proper volume control. I had to use minus 10db with one amp.
