Nice one Tyler. I've never been a big fan of Topping stuff either... but I now own the Topping DX9 AIO as a desktop setup for gaming, movies, music and it's excellent. It has the AK4499EQ DAC Chip which I think makes it sound different than any other Topping I've heard so far. Plenty of power too and should be able to drive 99.9% of the headphones out there. Maybe Topping is finally figuring it out? I'm a fan of the DX9

It’s funny how Topping slowly drifts into warmer territory yet King Amir keeps saying how it measures better than the last one.

@@mikeg2491 Yeah the DX9 is like the black sheep of the topping family. I'm sure those ASR measurement nerds/snobs would find many faults with the DX9... but it's easily the most Fun sounding offering I've ever heard from them. It reminds me of an AK4499 Geshelli Stack with some solid dynamics and impact, nice Bass and a little Warmth to the sound signature. Way nicer, enjoyable sound than the usual Neutral/Sterile Topping sound that measures well that the ARS "Objective" crowd drools over.

I actually made a meme recently about audiophile measurebators lol 😆 I’ll post it on the community channel for you guys lol Yeah, this one was great for gaming, music and movies… definitely more enjoyable then previous topping stuff

Liked and subbed! Can I ask you, looking for a all in one DAC amp for my desktop computer to use with the ZMF Atrium closed, what would be your top recommendations? Sorry a little new to all this!

My current favorite all in one that hasn’t left my desk since getting it is the Nitsch Pietus Maximus… I think Nitsch is trying to get another run going soon of those. Outside of that I’d look at JDS labs Element series as a good alternative… Otherwise I enjoy iFi stuff, the Fiio all in ones and some of the SMSL stuff have all performed very well. I’m sure I’m missing some companies, but off the top of my head those come to mind as good jump off points for researching what might work for you

Great video! Its 17.000mW or 17 Watt, not 1.700mw - so definitely more than enough for most! Hence why Modhouse liked it for the Tungsten.

Oh, dang! Thanks for the correction… that is definitely more than enough to power any headphones

Thanks for the nice review. I enjoy mine, as well. To be fair, I think it's not actually a touchscreen. I think it's a nice LED with three touch switches hidden behind the same bezel. Also, there are a couple of nice to have but not essential touches - it you have a DAC that supports it, there is a 12v trigger so that when I hit the remote control power, on my D70 Pro it turns on/off the A70 Pro, too. Also the gnd/life switch is a bit of a help if you find yourself with a ground loop somewhere.

You are correct! Not a touch screen … but has a touch panel on the side of the screen :)

Pleasantly surprised by your thoughts on this unit! Would you say this amp is an improvement to the headphone out on the RME Tyler?
@TylersEclectic6 ай бұрын
Yeah, I’d say it’s better than the amp section of the RME
@mmlr3126 ай бұрын
@@TylersEclectic Nice. The amp stage is definitely the weakpoint of the RME imo (maybe not in terms of measurements, but in terms of subjective quality).
