It's not a country tune. It was written by Chuck Berry, who wasn't a country singer. He was rocknroll.

Dear god she's beautiful. I used to work at a public auditorium and almost literally bumped into her once at a sound check, mid 70's. I didn't recognize her but she almost knocked me off my feet, she was so BEAUTIFUL. Just off-the-charts gorgeous, stunning.

IT was playback and lipsynch, as you can tell well from Emmylou's long face - she'd of Course would've sung life, but such was not the policy at Toppop (that's why we could all see Iggy Pop taking out a couple of decor palms on the tune of Lust for Life, non of which could be heard - but pretty well, seen !

Toppop was a fantastic weekly popmusic show in Holland in the 70's and 80's, that us kids sat down to watch, with host Ad Visser and dancer Penney de Jager. I think this show with Emmylou Harris was live, if only judging from the number of cables from the instruments to the amplifiers.
