Do y'all remember that school teacher on Britain's Got Talent that wowed the judges and in the later auditions got an attitude? Well, attitude is an important part of the performance. Boy, I guess I read Owen wrong, my first thought was he said that about the judges because of nervousness and wanting to pretend he was not in front of them to keep it at bay, but no matter his reasons, for them to take offense instead of asking why he said that and not let him through because their tender feelings got triggered is sad, 😕
@addictiveaussie3 ай бұрын
I'm inclined to agree, that it was nerves and his attempt, however awkward, to boost his self-confidence and it was poorly interpreted by the the judges. Instead of admonishing him they should have given him some understanding and guidance.

21:41 him being cocky is probably an defence mechanism to anyone who has told him “no,” “you can’t,” “you’re useless.” Etc. he probably has more positive experiences when he is on the streets everyday with ordinary people, rather than people who happen to be celebrities. I have found in my experience that some of the nicest people are the ones who have suffered the most, and the most difficult and awful are the ones who have it all. (I understand this is not all of the time as the human race is flawed, but in my opinion this is what it has been.) and also, as an Australian, this is how we talk. Also there is a condition we have called Tall Poppy Syndrome… Also, as an autistic person, this is my backup defence mechanism of coming off prickly to people to cope with stress and when performing.

Really bizarre in this day and age for someone judging talent to worry about the attitude of an artist. The industry is full of egos and attitudes. They think they're in the business of teaching people lessons? Some of the biggest stars are jerks, but people pay millions to see them, oh and the agents and venues make billions. this isn't the pre 1970, stay in your lane judges. The public will take care of a star's attitude.

@@lancevoorheestapestrichann9740 THIS!!! No matter what the music industry is like, a first impression like that will NEVER get you somewhere in life (even outside of music). Owen cam: I honestly think he meant " let's forget I'm being judged and just have fun"...not forget about the judges completely. It came out wrong and then a bunch of tone assumptions were made between them all. Judges thought they were being disrespected, and Owen thought he was being attacked. Not the best approach, but when he came out talking to them first, he was getting control of his nerves. My two cents even though it was not well recieved.

You cant blame people for not helping others having difficulty in their pives if they see that person is not worthy of the help. If we want good things to happen, people to extend their help, we must show we are woth the help. We always have to look where we've been to see where we're going. And what we sow is what we reap.
