We broke down in the same carpark as you in Fishguard. Lucky enough, it wasn’t a gas leak. It was an electrical fault and the ECU packed up. All the best to you both happy Motorhoming.

I did read that using any battery operated device near a gas leak was akin to using a box of Swan Vesta to check for leaks. Not sure where I read it, perhaps I just made it up.

As far as I can tell, Keith the batteries are sealed away and the chances of making a spark are practically zero. A gas engineer might agree with you though and they have other leak testing equipment.
