@@lindastenman6103 Even people with disabilities can learn some new skills and behaviors. I know. I have three adult children with disabilities. They need more encouragement and a ton of consistency. I don’t give them a crutch (label) I give them encouragement to believe in their abilities and not buy into the victim mentality. I also tell them their disability is their superpower. There are certain aspects of Asperger’s, adhd etc that when properly channeled can produce amazing things. Enabling and encouragement a victim mentality is reinforcing that belief that they are less than and useless to society. By coddling the person who is different you are reinforcing their poor self esteem and making them believe they can’t do for themselves. They can. Your mindset may be in good faith but ultimately it’s limiting the people who need encouragement; not a label. Let this sink in please. We all can improve ourselves. All of us.

Many of these things can be found in people who grew up in dysfunctional homes. To say someone is weak-minded is to have a lack of understanding about psychology! If someone dealt with such things, it’s silly to expect them to function just like people who grew up in functional and loving homes with lots of support that made them develop trust in their abilites and many more positive things.

As a psych student who grew up as the only child in an extremely dysfunctional home I can only agree with this! Saying someone is weak minded just by having these traits is as inappropiate as saying someone with depression is lazy. It's like you would expect someone born with one leg run the same scores like someone with 2 - which is not impossible, but it's def way harder than for the healthy one.

1 in 8 adults have disabilities for example a TBI or PTSD, etc. and people tend to automatically think they are weak. They are extremely quick to judge. In 2019, 1 in every 8 people, or 970 million people around the world were living with a mental disorder, with anxiety and depressive disorders the most common. People need to learn how to be more understanding that’s the Real disorder.

@heartsspades7687
@heartsspades7687 10 ай бұрын
@@obnoxiousdave a weak minded person through experience could get through things better than a strong minded first timer person but what happens when they both go through a new problem for the first time ? A strong minded person would have much better abilities in doing the task or judging things while a weak minded person would need to rely on their experience which they don't have. Solving difficult problems for a strong minded person would be easier and would make some sense to them and give them some sort of a clue of what they should do next whereas the weak minded person wouldn't even have a few signs of what's going on. You tell them both, the strong as well as weak minded people to navigate somewhere far a by to a particular place that's quite tricky enough and for the most part both of these groups would somehow be able to navigate there. But then again when you teach them both a new lengthy subject like the difficulty levels of some hight level mathematics, programming or accounting they've never heard of at a considerably faster pace that's not readily available on the internet, the strong minded person would be able to grasp in some important clue, then differentiate the it from the unimportant stuff, then proceed trying to search it on a particular site whereas the weak minded person wouldn't have any much clue as all of the information seemed alienated or at most be able to hold a letter or two worth of info while his strong minded counterpart would be able to recall two keywords. Now with those two keywords a lot of clue could be found one after the other, while the weak minded person would be totally lost on what they should be doing next.

Always listen & observe carefully to what goes on, & you will learn more & faster. Be aware of your own weaknesses. We all have some. Nobody is perfect. Understand better by admitting to what you do not know & understand. In this way, other people, using empathy, not pity, can help you improve. In these ways, we can all help each other improve. Take constructive criticism & use it to improve your understanding of many things in life. As made clear by the video's author, always blame yourself. In addition, forgive other people. This leads to empathetic understanding of others to create friendships throughout life.

@@MansaXIf you weren’t aware of the overlap between ADHD’s pre-frontal cortex dysfunction and the resulting neurotransmitter regulation issues affecting behaviours I would put the judgemental nature of your comment down to ignorance. But you are responding to a thread commenting on and explaining ADHD in relation to those issues brought up in the program. ADHD people actually hold themselves very very accountable for their failures, thus the other symptoms of poor self esteem, anxiety, depression and substance abuse issues (dopamine disregulation is also a factor in that last one). They would also be the least narcissistic people you will find. The issues faced take a toll on most’s confidence. Given the context this is a hugely arrogant and ignorant comment, as well as showing no understand whatsoever of a well known and increasingly common medical condition. That or maybe you just know better. I’m sure that the irony of being so arrogantly judgemental and thinking that you know it all about human brain functioning while at the same time describing other peoples behaviour as being narcissistic escapes you. .

I think this person that made this video has got proud minded and strong minded mixed up because the things they mention just seem to fit a confident or over confident person on some of what they listed. sometimes a strong mind is a lot more than just your confidence it's also about humility and how long you endure during uncomfortable situation. For a example what they call a week mind is caused by being over criticized or from being around others that over criticize. But you can strong minded wrong direction because really strong minded is about you maintaining who you are without the world being able to change you. In other words you don't conform, instead you remain strong in what you believe without being changed dispite the world around you.

@@rubengondwe9692 In Australia we are lucky and can get help. But all people do here is complain about how tough things are, how oppressed they are (white males are always the baddies in any scenario) and what victims they are. I’m sure people complain way more here than they do in your country. Militant Feminism especially, and also pandering too much to other minority groups has created a victim/oppressor mindset that has just about ruined Australia. Yes, our health, education and welfare systems are still very good - but we are borrowing from other countries to pay for it and it can’t continue like that. Be hopeful for the future (and a bit patient), things can change very quickly and your country may change in some respects quite quickly. This one doesn't get an upvote from me. Slamming people who have social difficulties as being weak-minded is obnoxious. Do you think that if they could, for example, read body language they would exhibit difficulties in obtaining romance? I speak as someone who identifies as being on the autism spectrum. I could say a few pointed things about neurotypicals I have to deal with on a regular basis but won't, not because I am "weak-minded" but because it is insulting and inflammatory. It happens to be my misfortune that I can solve problems others can't and they call on me to do it for them thus robbing me of my time which I could just refuse to do but then I guess I'm weak-minded (or perhaps wanting to simply help others who are basically helpless).

I am the archetype or this. If I challenged all of these things it would be very revealing. I'm changing now but I can't change everything I want to all at once. This has really opened my mind. I'm not crushed but a bit disappointed. I feel naked that this has been uncovered in myself. I dont know why I had to be this way since I was in school but it could have been the way my mother raised me and the dope I smoked. I look around and wonder where other people get the motivation. I asked a work colleague ten years ago and he had nothing to tell me. Life can be vicious and I can't live in this comfy dopey routine forever. I pushed to do more excersise today. I find that help. Stopped drinking for a couple of months. Got obsessed with cleaning the kitchen. Those are some good things I have achieved so far lately. I will continue to pray as well. Pray to who? Myself? Never judge or underestimate a person who may seem introverted or quietly keep to themselves. Managers, supervisors, and insecure coworkers who try to walk over these individuals find out the hard way. These people observe, and strategize, and when you don't expect it silently move in the shadows and make their move. I know I am one of these people. We just want to do our best work and stay out of the limelight. We get our praise from within ourselves. The executive leadership from the President /CEO down to department management is now at my feet asking for forgiveness. Heed this warning. Unless these people are not performing their legitimate work duties leave them alone and respect them.

too much stubbornness is not good either. Sometimes one can stubbornly strive for a goal and miss the opportunity to do it a better way, or shift the goal to a more valuable goal. In order to do those things, one also needs the ability to "give up" on the less efficient method or goal, to reorient their approach to something more productive/valuable. I used to be way too stubborn.

Plus, I'm working on making new connections because I tend to sabotage all my relationships when something doesn't go my way. I know this is an awful way to live, and I've lost people I loved due to my weaknesses. but, I'm unlearning this destructive behavior, and it's a gradual process. I will change my ways because it is not the best way to live, and life is too short to dwell in a constant state of uncertainty due to your own weak mindedness.

I was weak minded I think since I failed to achieve my goals because ( I will blame others: I have toxic family and it became so bad that I wanted to commit suicide) but I will never give up. And to all the people who think they are in the catagory of the weak mindset, keep setting goals and keep failing. But never give up. Someday things will actually work out in your favour. Bro had some beef with weak minded individuals. He basically called them "hypocrites, failures, lazy, quitters, weak in will, undisciplined, insecure, purposeless (which I took as worthless), fake and more." Then acted like it was nothing. "They lack the will to....." "They don't have faith in themselves." He says these things and acts as though living with those things are a walk in the park and anyone who has a tough time with them are weak. No thanks. Totally not cool.

We are all here on our own journey. Overcoming your fears goes a long way -- if you are able to do it. It helps to enrich the Soul. I'm terrified of heights, but lately have been able to get on a ladder and climb the rungs. Each time I try, I try and go higher. And then one day, I made it to a low roof, but I wanted immediately to come back down.

How did those weak minded people become "too paralyzed by indecision to make up their minds!?!?!" OH, we discount or forget childhood trauma, its impact on development, controlling personalities etc. I guess that is the victim mentality. This video is good information wise, however it is also bad that it enables abusers imo. i.e., It takes a strong minded person to cut ties with toxic relationships, and run like crazy away from the kind of people accusing you of being weak minded. See how strong you mind is operating after suffering abuse by a major NPD. A weak minded person is definitely one that cannot see their flaws (so I agree with lots of things in this video, just not everything).

You care more about looking like you can swim than you do teaching yourself to swim. Don’t live for how you are seen by others, live for how you feel inside regardless of what others think. Believe in your own judgement when it comes to you even when a million people say you’re wrong because a million people are not you and don’t know you like you know you. Wild animals enter water and instinctively swim, trust your instincts even when you can’t make sense of them in the moment, they tell you things you haven’t yet realised.

1. Be aware 2. Don’t quit when it gets difficult 3. Establish or tighten up goals 4. Practice what you preach and don’t weasel out 5. Respond to criticism without emotion based self pity There are several more but this is plenty to start with if you’ve never tried. Becoming a swimmer takes a lot of practice.

@@mosessupposes2571 appreciate ya lookin out 👍 Good advice. Always wondered when someone like me, whos just stupid as hell decides they want to stop being stupid. Would they be smart enough to stop being stupid when the time comes I think it's a catch-22 and almost impossible because no matter how hard I try it seems like something else is trying harder to make sure I fail.

I understand it's purpose towards taking the hard road over easy road, but a person needs to be smart as well. A person should not be afraid of working hard but should be smart enough to keep that going. There needs to be a balance between both.

No offense, but I disagree with the shortcut mentality. I am a Reliability Engineer and can tell you, some things I do are to make things more efficient. I do personally say that I am doing those said things like I am because I'm lazy. Case in point, I absolutely desired our planning system at my current place of work. In spite of hating it, I came up with an entirely new system, sold the maintenance engineers under me in it, and decreased my workload by 75% pretty week, which allowed me to be lazy and focus on other aspects of my work. I still say I was being lazy. On a side note, my boss said it was the most ingenious way of freeing myself that he ever saw.

It's really hard at work though because, most of these jobs do anything they can to control you to the max. They want total control over you now a days & get big mad when you stand your ground. This gets toxic I've been pushed out of a job simply because, I didn't let them use me dry..

Know what you want. Learn how to get there. No: booze Cigarettes Heroin Cocaine Weed Crack ...other unlisted bad habits Depend on yourself Partner with other motivated persons Be focused and don't let them blur your vision. Their weaknesses should never depend on your strengths. How do you achieve what you want? Start with school. Plenty of learned scholars from which you can gain knowledge. Start by standing up. Then walk.
