Topwater Day WP#75 vs MegaBass Grand Siglett (Cycada)

First day of topwater turned into a heated battle between the Whopper Plopper #75 bone color and the Mega Bass Siglett Abura Zemi color. The action and blowups on the Bug are pretty sweet. If you do purchase it then I suggest using a spinning reel with at least 10 lb braid. Its a light lure but is also pricey so you do not want to lose it . It doesn't seem to be pike proof at all... Great video man! I have to point out, you gotta be careful reeling your fish up so close to your rod tip. It's a good way to snap the tip of your rod. It likely won't happen on normal size fish, but if you already have that habit, it will likely happen when you get that monster fish every once in a while. Just an observation from a guy that has broken a rod this way haha. Really enjoyed the content. I subscribed!

They are calling for a huge cicada hatch this year and the Siglett should be a hammer on them her in Va. and Tn. Our river smallmouth should love that bait! Just ordered one to try when the hatch starts.

Man what an awesome day. I have been hearing those cicadas already. They are out this year. At least here in VA. Wow looks like it is heating up. Crazy that the temp is warmer there than here. Surprised that the frog didn't get any. 👍👍

Yeah the temp has been super high up here, I couldn't believe no frog bite either and I threw it a lot. That bug is awesome but its super light.

Gorgeous sunrise. Nice catches. I was gonna say frogs would be my go to with those pads. I like the yellow whopper ploppers but I use the 130. 👍

Peeling Line I was amazed I couldn’t get one on the frog too. That’s usually my go to frog spot .

Its time for that topwater! The megabass cicada may be the best lure this year. Isn't it the 17 year cicada explosion??

Dpuck Fishing and Outdoors it definitely got blown up on , I read an article that did say the cicadas are coming this year. Would be awesome they will be all over the top water .
