Topwater Fishing for Striped Bass

On this Topwater Tuesday, I used a recently reviewed lure, the Surreel Ice Glider to catch some beautiful Striped Bass during some isolated blitzes recently. The Surreel topwater lure proved itself quite effective for Striper. Do you think it will work as well for largemouth and smallmouth bass? I hope to find out soon.

I want to thank you for your recent striper videos. I went to beltzville today and although I didn’t find schools of them I managed to get a couple of bites from the scattered fish I found.

I have noticed this too. Isolated stripers in pairs or 3s. If you can find the main school, it will be a different story and you will know it when you see it.

Hi Den - Just found your videos and I’m really enjoying them. I spent several days on Wallenpaupack on June looking for stripers, and came up empty! 😢 One request for your videos - get a lavalier mic to wear while you’re on the boat. I know you’re talking while fishing, but I can’t hear you! Thanks again.

Hello Ned, thanks for tuning in. Regarding me talking while fishing. I have a habit of talking to myself out loud while fishing. It's not meant for the mic but is okay if others hear it. When I want to make a point, I make sure that I am heard thru the mic. Never-the-less it would be nice to get a wearable mic. I will have to look into this.
