Hey Noah, work the frog a further distance back. You keep frog in the water and pop frog 🐸 the whole way back. It'll get bit. I noticed you work lure a short distance. Work lure closer into the shore. you'd probably will catch more bass. Youd be supprized sometimes fish maybe closer toward shore line as you work lure towards you on the shore.

Braid is generally better for topwater lures because the braid floats, which gives the lure better action. I'd recommend about 50 lbs braid for a topwater rod. If you're using it for soft plastics, I'd recommend fluro instead of mono. 12 lbs is fine. I use my braid for topwater and swimbaits. I got the spiderwire stealth braid.
