I feel your pain Noah. Fish haven't fully committed to what I been throwing at them. I've seen a 4 plus close to 5 jumping in the pocket of the dock. Same not paying attention she hit my lure, didn't expect it and😮 instead of reeling my slack before setting the hook I set the hook she came off. 🙄

me and my friend were pond hopping and he caught an 11 pound trophy bass on a craw fish bait and it was elevated about a foot so when i was landing it he had to hold my feet and it was so heavy i dropped it and i barely lipped it before it swam away. crazy experience

An expert top water fisherman says to count to 3 after the blow up before you actually set the hook. Apparently it gives them time to actually get it inhaled properly.
