Topwater Peacock Bass Fishing in the Amazon Abacaxis River 2018 Ep1

I took a flight from Miami to Manaus Brazil last week for a week of Peacock Bass Fishing in the Abacaxis River in the north west side of the Amazon rain forrest. From Manaus I jumped aboard a hydroplane l to meet the riverboat, The Amazon Legend, which was already on location in the Abacaxi river. We stowed our gear in our rooms, met the crew and had lunch. What your about to see is the first 6 hours of my 7 day trip to the Amazon Jungle.

That Falcon Cara is a sweet little rod for throwing choppers, so much easier on the elbow than a longer one. Catch some giants! Jealous, I have to wait till December then March in Colombia, damn.

Last year I cut down my bass Rods next that was fine but ya loose some action when ya start cutting blanks. Could not have been more pleased with these Cara rods. Good luck on your adventures!

Thanks Captain. For heavier lures I cut 7" off the butt of a Shimano Trevala S jigging rod that was just sitting around. Tuned in to see the monsters.

Well they hit hard in Florida as well however the peacock in Florida are smaller and not near as strong
