"Tor-E2" ADMS is designed to destroy aircraft, helicopters, cruise missiles, anti-radar and other guided missiles, planning and guided bombs, and UAVs at ranges up to 15 km and altitudes up to 12 km in conditions of intense fire and radio optical and electronic countermeasures, in any weather conditions, day or night.

@@user-rf8cq4bw2w , Nope. All other mobile ADS require to stop temporarily to lock on target and launch a missile. The first version of TOR required the same. The second version of Tor can lock on target and launch a missile on move. Nobody can do the same, even other Russian ADS...

.. not really ...TOR -M has been heavily upgraded, now we can say it is a medium anti-aircraft system because Russian engineers have increased the range to about 70 km... This TOR - E2 is, first of all, smaller, uses a different chassis, and is definitely focused on the detection and interception of drones...

The 'Pantsir' is a _stationary_ ADS, to protect other ADS, like all S-types. The 'Tor' is a _mobile_ system to protect military troops in the movement/advance. That's the difference...

The true defense against drones is electronic warfare. Drone can't talk or hear it can't do it's job. Being the drones signal is going to be so much weaker than the jammer this is easily done.
