Very good presentation... Acts 10 and 11 have a perfect example of Peter learning that Yahweh was not talking about food like the Sunday church teaches. It is very clear what is being taught here, if you read with an open mind with out Indoctrination. Yah was referring to people..."but God has shown me that I should not call any person common or unclean"... From that time on Peter associated, ate with, invited them in to his home and ministered to gentiles.

Yes. Yeshua did mean food that is clean in Gods Word . He did'nt say that all swedish food are clean . Or that all Chinese food are clean. He said that clean food in the scripture can not be unclean if we eat with dirty hands. My Christian friends are so happy that they can eat pork because Jesus did say thatt all food is clean. Well. If they want to follow a lie God let them do so. Jesus said that all food that God say is clean is clean to eat even with dirty hands.

I don't want to eat unclean food because the spirit will say NO. Dirty food is not unclean in the way God means with unclean. In these days we eat a lot of food that is not food för us. In Sweden there is a lot of different Milk. There is a lot of different bread. And there is too much sugar in many things we eat for breakfast. We live in a lie.

Tom, thank you for the clear meaning. It has been what I have understood when reading the bible. I have to ask, do you think there is any significance to kosher eating when Yeshua crossed the sea and visited the town of swine herders? I find it somehow relevant that he cast the demons to the herd of pigs. It really makes me wonder if Yeshua was trying to tell those people of that town, that pigs are not food for you and disobeying YHWH can lead to demon possession.

I'm having trouble with the idea of eating chicken as you say on one side of your mouth to eat chicken and on the other don't eat anything that eats dead animals. Chickens eat bugs, mice, and if a chicken dies, they will eat it before you can get it away from them. I like chicken but just can't make it fit the definition of clean meat.

What about not wearing both wool and linen together? Must Christians follow this law or is it a Jewish tradition?Are the 613 laws some of Gods laws and some Rabbinical traditions? I was under the assumption that when the temple was torn down and sacrifice no longer practiced that the sacrifices were only a shadow of what’s to come. Wasn’t there an earlier priesthood before the Levitical referred o as the order of Melchizedek?

Also the Noahide law about do not eat food with the blood in it. I have read the same law that says just don’t eat an animal still living(concerning blood). Who would do this anyway? But I heard or read that when Jesus died on the cross he replaced the laws in the Old Testament.

I realized years ago it was about contamination ....unclean, the word, was used at a time when the scientific evidence was not possible. Also humane as possible to kill the animal. Vegan is also an option. Thank you for a great lecture, sermon..

I try to keep it since 7 years now while I rejected pork and shell fish for more then 20 years by instinct now. Anyway: never been in a situation where I got rejected by friends. In case I assume it gets to complicated I typically rely on vegetarian options. I think for one or two meals it is possible to don't eat meat instead of risking to eat unclean stuff

I would be interested to see what Tom makes of the instructions given to gentile believers by the Jerusalem council in Acts 15v28: It seemed good to the Holy Spirit and to us not to burden you with anything beyond the following requirements...... You would do well to avoid these things.

My take on this is to read from v21 - ‘Moshe has had in every city those who proclaim him, with his words being read in the synagogues every shabbat’. The things listed in v28 are a starting point, so as not to force new believers to jump in at the deep end, the apostles knew that over time they would learn the full Torah every shabbat.

Why did Peter in Acts10:9 falls into a trance,sees a sheet come from heaven with a vessel,in it creeping things,birds,ect. The Lord says to Peter,called Simeon, all these I have cleansed do not call common. Kill and eat!!God told him all foods are clean and good to eat. I’m a little confused about what or how many Jewish laws Christians must follow. It appears here the Lord has cleansed all living things that are we are to kill and eat.

It only takes a glance at the greek of Mark 7:19 to dispel the idea that Yeshua declared all foods clean in that passage. It clearly describes a bowel movement, not a declaration of new law, or a relaxing thereof.
