Torana LC XU1 Surprise Return Home

4 and a half years ago, Frank had to sell his prized Torana which he rebuilt over 4 years with his son Andrew. On September 16th, we got to buy it back. He thought we purchased a brand new HSV GTS and was outside in the street ready to see it. Little did he know, it was his Torana driving down the street towards him! Well, chad McQueen isn’t wrong. So clearly you and chad are at odds. You can’t both be right. Let’s admit the fact that millionaires know more stuff than non-millionaires. Holden and chad know more than you, and they tell you to update your machinery every 10 years. Same here Shane. The first car I bought was the LC GTR 2850, followed by two HQ GTS's. I sold the LC for $4,000 to help get my first Monaro. And I eventually sold my second Monaro for $3,800 to buy a family car to fit the kids. BIG, BIG mistakes. I can't afford the HQ now but maybe the LC might be in my budget. If I can find one.

@@frankroemer1380 I did actually, kept it tuned by Firth Motors (HDT). Had Head Mod "factory" headers fitted. When maxxing out at 6,500 revs in fourth, the speedo needle sat over the tens column in the odometer Put over 100,000 awesome miles on it (Melbourne-Adelaide in 6 hours look it up). Later on I bought a 98 WRX, started the WRX club (over 200 cars in first year, still going strong after more than 20 years - check out the club's FB page facebook.com/groups/ImprezaWRXClub/) moved into an STi6 (with plenty of mods) and organised and competed in club motorsport at all NSW tracks plus speedway, hillclimbs and huge paddock gymkhanas. - yeah, I haven't got a clue....
