Worked in a community garden that had a few of these. Initially thought they were gimmicky, but really grew to like how generally functional the shape turned out to be. Yours is a thing of beauty. I love your capacity to bring the metal back from that awkward lobe shape imparted by the power hammer to a nice clean end without having to sheer it off. Much skill.

With age I concluded Irony was possibly one of the most crucial factors of life. This kind of metalwork has a ton of irony to it! Firstly it is without doubt the best medium to be creative with, the strength and longevity on its own being superior! However the amount of resources it would take to setup and forge these items really does have an ironic impact! Which( you are relatively free of.. lol

This is a beautiful tooI! I use a hori every day at work, I've been using the same commercially available one for about 5 years now. The measurements on the blade are no longer accurate because the tip has been worn down significantly. Looking at it you would know I'm right handed. The serrated edge is so dull it can barely cut small roots. And that's a good thing because I like my fingers where they are. I hope you don't find out like I did that having a sharp hori is a bad idea. Keep up the good work!
