For its time this safe was a high-end product intended for the wealthy. Unknown by you, it's original condition was a little bit different than what you have done. The entire safe was nickel plated and highly polished. There were two keys that came with a safe although the one would open it. I couldn't quite read the patent number but I do believe it was manufactured in the very early 1900s if not the late 1800s. I am a semi-professional locksmith. Definitely an amateur locksmith. What you have there may be worth a sizeable amount of money to a collector. Although you may want to go back and nickel plate the entire thing. Back in the time when this was manufactured nickel plating was a sign of wealth. If I had the money I would offer you about 1,300 USD. That is if you were to complete the full restoration. You always do an excellent job within your means. This is what I appreciate about you.

yeah, there's only 6 though I couldn't see any difference in the keyholes... maybe it's thinner at that one?
@JasonAndresen-rc3bp28 күн бұрын
Yes, but it is two extremely crappy security measures put together into a still lousy system. The key appears to be generic and the “combination” is a single digit. The only actual security comes from the apparently awkward way you need to manipulate the key to engage the mechanism. That said this is an expensive kids toy, nobody was asking for 60 minutes of protection here.
