always thought the mix on the original album was too ‘muddy’ my ears were searching for snippets of elements instead of being bathed in them. It’s tempting to buy it again now it’s what it should have bee n

I generally hate it when artists (or more likely the label) release short track previews, and I’ll refuse to listen to them, but this works really well as a medley. You’ve got me even more excited about buying the album tomorrow, William 👍

@@williamorbit thank you for providing the soundtrack to my life! I fell in love with Best Friend, Paranoia when I heard it on a Peter Gabriel compilation, and I’ve been a huge fan ever since.

To be honest Toward The Unknown Region is my least favourite album from Torch Song. I don't hate it but the first albums and 12"s were so much more inspiring to me. I was a teen when Torch Song released their vinyl records and I was spending all my allowances on those records. I still have them today. I was so excited about Torch Song - And William orbit (I still am) Bassomatic never really moved me in the same way Torch Song did. But then again it was a totally different style of music. Also I absolutely hate the Pieces in a Modern Style remixes made by DJs. I really feel that William Orbit sold out allowing those tracks to be released. To me those remixes totally destroyed the finesse that he put into the album. As for the Ray of Light album by Madonna I really think William Orbit hit the mark. It is still such a delight to listen to. I dread to think of what that album would have become without William Orbit. As for the remixes he did for other bands I am still in awe. His remix of Peter Gabriel - Mercy Street and the remix of Erasure - Supernature are the first that come to mind. William Orbits Strange Cargo albums are also fantastic. In my opinion Strange Cargo III being the best of them all. So to sum it all up - William Orbit made a big impact on my ears and I think he is a genius
