I ordered Flack 2.0 xl trail torch from Amazon and was worried that they were not authentic. Since they are half the thickness compared to my other Oakley’s which are prizm gray and black iridium.

This was the first pair of Oakley sunglasses that I’ve owned in a very ling time so I can’t help you compare. Hopefully you got the real deal.

Perhaps. But it I have been happy with the stuff I’ve bought from them over the last few years. Their snowboard helmets have been quite good. Used a Mod 5 for many years and it was solid. The kids have been using Mod 1s for a couple years now and they have really liked them.

Thanks for the video. Wanted to hear how they are in low light, are they too dark for overcast and shady conditions?
@AitchYXE Жыл бұрын
They are ok in lower light. I’ve worn them during twilight and I’ve still been able to see well enough in the low light and the cover of trees. I usually forget that I have them on. But to be fair, I rarely ride in low light situations.

How much of a difference do these make? I currently ride with oakley flak 2.0 deep water prizm at blackstrap and buffalo pound. Just wondering if they are worth the money.
@AitchYXE2 жыл бұрын
I like them quite a bit. They do make the trails pop. I don’t know how they compare to what you have since I have never tried the deep water prizm. I actually have started using the POC Devour glasses this year. Only reason I switched was because I wanted more coverage. My eyes were watering so much when riding downhill so I wanted to see if the extra coverage would help. It does. I probably prefer the Oakley lenses better, but not enough that I would tolerate the watering eyes.

I run in palo duro canyon in Texas it’s mostly sunny very bright conditions on dirt of course do you think the trail torch would be beneficial in that environment or would you recommend different lenses ?
@AitchYXE2 жыл бұрын
I wear mine even when commuting to the office on asphalt and concrete. I think they still enhance my vision. They do make Prizm lenses for bright light so you may want to check out the Sapphire lenses.

So these glasses do you have your prescription in them?
@AitchYXE4 жыл бұрын
I don’t. I believe the maximum prescription they can go to is around -4.5. My prescription is too strong at around -8.5.

Can you change the lenes

Oh good question. I don’t ever remember that being described in the description or other reviews I read. I don’t think they are.

@@AitchYXE yes you can change them, just like the Flak XLJ

I can’t seem to find the exact one that mine came with, but it is the same shape and material as this other Soft Vault. www.oakley.com/en-ca/product/WA4230042RJC Mine doesn’t have the foam or hold extra lenses, just the glasses. I like it, and it seems to provide good protection, but I will say it is a bit big. I think you could probably find a more compact style hard case at a much lower price. $30 CDN seems steep.

How are the trail torch lenses for hiking and trail running in mountainous regions?
@AitchYXE3 жыл бұрын
They are great. The rose based lenses are specifically for the light conditions and environment.
