Torchlight Infinite FINALLY Adds Key Features in New Season (SS3)!

I was playing this game a while ago I only really stopped because the ancient GTX 770 in my old PC finally gave out. I need to revisit the game at some point and see if they started giving out more of the bits needed to unlock heroes for free. I dunno if I will return this season tho. I've got a bunch of games on my plate and I'm kinda prioritizing non-live service stuff these days. Thanks for covering the game though.

Yeah, they give out 100 marks a season to unlock one hero/specialization per season. But I'm not going to lie, it does take some time to unlock, but the marks carry over, which is nice.

When you mentioned a new feature of dreams and nightmares, it made me think of mechanics that it turned out not to be, but still a cool one. If given another name, it could be curses and blessings. You get epic gear that is either cursed or blessed, and you have to offset the curses or blessings by balancing your gear. You might find a piece of really good cursed gear or blessed gear, but either one will push your character's balance in negative ways if you're either too cursed or too blesses. So, you find a great gear with a really high curse score, and if you equip it, it'll come with great stats, BUT, it'll also push your curse score up into levels that bad stuff starts happening. (some kind of static debuffs). In that event, you won't use it right away, not until you've also found a piece of gear that has a really high blessed score, which will also have excellent stats. Putting both pieces of gear on at the same time will give your character all of those stats while also keeping your character balanced and negating any negative debuffs that would've come from just one piece of gear. Of course, as your character gathers more of these cursed or blessed pieces of gear, the game of balancing that overall score becomes more complex, but also comes with even more insane stat increases and buffs.

Ok, so when it says that affix in row X is going to be downgraded to T1, did you think "hell yea, the yellow one" or was it clear to you that T1 is the lowest level you can get since the Season part of the game uses completely different vocabulary that goes against the known crafting vocabulary that is still active everywhere else in the game?

Hi, i'm stuck on 7/8 attention points on maps, does anybody know why this is? i keep killing bosses but the attention points do not appear anymore. Thanks for the answer.

I just started playing as a time killer but then slowly it replaced Apex Legends for as my Scuf Controller broke.... I bought the new champion and so far it's been a bit confusing but I'm having a blast playing I'll definitely be there December 28th totally open any advice anyone can give

I like the game but man the UI just for some reason drives me crazy, I cannot look at the items/inventory etc. and not get turned off

New season looking fantastic, this is my favourite arpg right now I think, I'm of course gonna play the new hero Rosa as a leaguestarter, I reckon as usual the new hero will be really strong, and if I don't like it for some reason I can reroll when I've got the currency!

Their reward systems seem to pass by me, unaffected. I was super pumped when I killed a mob a in a dream and it dropped ONE FE because that's the most FE I got from doing the new activity up until level 75 which is probably 30-50 runs at above level 60...In Season one, Most FE I was able to get from the pirates was like 10 in one go, once. Second season I got nothing. Quit playing quickly after realizing I will need much more than nothing to even start crafting.

I just found out about this game. I love ARPG's and play POE, LE and some D4, but this game seems to not be nearly as popular as the others which i find strange? It looks to have alot of stuff to do, and it runs smooth asf. How come it is not bigger in all honesty? Strange for me.

Torchlight in itself is a smaller niche known franchise. So it doesn't surprise me.

People are so weird about monetization in this game. Diablo 4 was $100 and absolutely awful. You can spend ~$20 a season on TLI and be happy with it. So basically you can play TLI for a year or two, spend less than Diablo 4 and play a game that's actually fun. I spent $20 on last season and got 140 hours out of it. That's pure value.

FINALLY! LOOT FILTER. now,the only thing left is for them to use mapping system in POE for netherrealm,then,i might spend more time in end game. i mean,come on! needing to put roll nether every single time before entering the map is soooo freaking annoying.,

Returnee here, I plan on starting with the new season with a f2p friendly hero, is there any hero worth choosing? The market being cross server is a good QOL update, the price in EU is so outrageous.

Good clickbait. I thought it was finally getting multiplayer. Nope, looks like it'll have to keep jugging away with it's 300 concurrent users for another season. Maybe eventually they'll figure out they need multiplayer to be successful.

I really do want to enjoy this game. But the way they do new classes is just really horrible. I really wish new characters were something everyone just has access to. But it's a mobile game, so I know full well that will never happen.

Well, it's a free game, and to be fair you can actually get enough currency each season to buy a hero with in-game currency, I think they deserve the money from buying the season pass, it's not a steep price either.

​@@Alleyezonjimz ya. to each their own. There are plenty of ways they can monetize it other than locking classes behind it. To me, locking a class behind buying it is equal to locking gear or game mechanics behind a paywall for each individual thing. Since playing around with classes is what I find fun. It just leaves a sour taste to me, especially since most of the game's mechanics are inspired by PoE. Which is a way bigger company releasing more content, on a more often basis, all while not locking basic content behind paywalls.

You can get in-game currency to buy a new hero you know, you just have to play enough, so you don't NEED to pay anything, and to be fair the season pass with the new hero doesn't have a steep price.
