when I tested this, the number of orbs was shared between youga and his clone, though i did not test with having two copies of the skill at the same time

okay just tested it with 0 added beams. having one version of lightning beam as your "main" skill (the skill in slot one) has you and your clone sharing the maximum number of orbs. if you equip a second copy of lightning beam in another slot and cast that instance of it, you double the total number of orbs available. (3 from clone, 3 from the self-cast version you use yourself)

doing some quick math, at base # of max beams, the damage effectiveness of two separate versions of lightning beam on youga is slightly lower than using ring of ice. with +2 beams from a staff, +2 beams from support, and +2 beams from candles, you're looking at a damage effectiveness (on a level 20 lightning beam) of 860% assuming you can maintain max orbs. this is 2.5x the damage effectiveness possible with ring of ice.

This is correct, I did more testing after recording and got the same results you did. It's an interesting choice to make, with the just the main skill setup it becomes a hands-free auto cast but adding a second beam setup should be insane single target ramp up. main skill lightning beam with the beam supports, faster casting, and cold pen. mana boil + arcane circle for buffs, cold + lightning damage auras, cold curse on hit.
