This is a great technique, but definitely tricky grabbing that sleeve in time sometimes.

Also helps to have flexible and beefy hip flexors. Some guys just regard like butter and nothing I can do about it except spaz out like crazy rip Leandro lo

Good stuffs. I have an other question, sometime when I ecape a side control or defend an advanced guard pass I struggle to do the transition "late frames to guard". I explain more precisely, when I get pinned in side control I usually can bridge and shrimp and manage to get my knee between my opponent and me and manage their crossface, but I often get repassed imediatly without established a real guard. Have you some advices ?

i’d recommend trapping their foot with your other leg when you shoot your knee in to stop them from circling around

also taking an underhook while trying to reguard is essential

Look up a "jailbreak" hook, it looks similar to being in half butterfly guard

I like to slow them down and get a kimura grip and do like a modified gator roll as the start to come around. I dont know what the actual move is called 😂

The easiest way to defend that pass is to do nogi
@JordanTeachesJiujitsu Жыл бұрын
Although I also prefer nogias well, you can still do the torreando pass in nogi haha

hell ya dude when yur getting yur ass kicked ask the assaulter for a time out so you can take yur pants off real quick and get naked for no grips

Can’t they take your back before you shrimp out? I’m a white belt so I wouldn’t know
@JordanTeachesJiujitsu Жыл бұрын
Not because they can't grip onto you with you framing their grip away 🙂
