This was definitely a stupid move considering how hard it is to win one prize. I wouldn't be surprised if their user base dipped considerably after this. Unless they make stuff easier to win they're just digging their own grave

in my opinion if toreba wants to implement this policy then they need to tone down the rigging on the claws. i cant even count how many times ive had prizes get "stuck" on one string of plastic or been halfway through the chute and be unable to fit through to win. $50 doesn't even get you 1 prize most of the time and there's no way i'd pay that every single month just so i don't have to pay a ridiculous shipping amount on top of it. i don't understand why they won't allow prime subscribers to be exempt from this at least? 10k TP is barely 5 plays on most machines and it doesn't even have any added benefits. i'll be cancelling my prime subscription immediately.

The fuck you're talking about. You don't get free shipping only with FTP. If you win using TP you get free shipping. Its a method to stop people from leeching off the platform to just win endless prizes without giving back.

Toreba forcing people to pay for shipments containing only free prizes when Japan Post hasn’t been shipping to Canada since November. So I (a Canadian) must pay to ship prizes that I have a chance of never actually receiving and will probably never get my money back. No that’s not happening…. I understand making the games harder. I understand changing the free play distributions to encourage people to pay for TP. This stuff made sense because people like me were leeching off of them to get stuff for free and letting that slide is obviously not a good business practice. I was 100% planning to buy enough TP after Japan Post starts shipping to Canada again to qualify for more free plays. But this turn of evens couldn’t suck any worse. Man I really hope things get better at Toreba after Covid. Otherwise I will have to stop playing. 😞

And the whole issue with the $50 minimum for me is exactly why you said people play these games to begin with: they are often cheaper than buying in store or importing. But now with this minimum that isn’t the case anymore. Why would I spend $50 at minimum to get a figure that I could easily but for $20-30 at an EB Games? That’s assuming you can even get anything with $50 in TP because the games are so much harder now. You can really tell that people are playing certain machines less and less too because if you check replays on Toreba Plus there are tons of machines that go literal days without being won. When I started playing about 2 years ago I was winning 1-2 items a month. I filled an entire display case just with free wins in the first year. Now I’m lucky if I win every 2-3 months. This game used to be so awesome but it’s just gone downhill…

For me personally I will stop using Toreba,i was very into being f2w til this day because I just cannot afford anime merch so Toreba to me was amazing. Completely understand why they did this but i will obviously just drop it,I've had a good 3 years worth of free stuff so i cant really say it's all bad,it just sucks for us f2w people who just truly can't afford to drop money on them. If this changes in the future i will most surely return but for now I bid farewell to Toreba 😔😭

I just won a small prize today after not having played in some months and was saddened about the discontinuation of free shipping. :/ I honestly don't think I will be playing anymore. Also, it's nice to see you upload again. Your Tokage collection is always magnificent to see. haha

I think they should've given an earlier heads up for people to adjust to these changes. But still, you can get free shipping potentially cheaper than $50 if you used a small amount to win a prize then keep it in cart to bundle it with free prizes. Or if you won a prize for free then snipe another item with tp. I hope with these changes the prizes become easier to win. I recently blew just over 50 so guess I'll be keeping it for a month and see how it goes.

Great video explanation. Ive played for several years now, and i pay for regular prime but once in a while if i need to prime gold. For me its just being more mindful about how i win a prize. I win about 4-5 prize a week. I just have to gauge when i need to win it with tp...and once i do its normal playing for me for 2 weeks until im close to the deadline to ship that prize. Looking at their shipping cost to the me (US) i think it makes alot of sense for them to do this. Also deters people just making endless accounts to play using free tickets.

Where do you get all of those tokages? I am a HUGE tokage fan, I have around 10 of them! I collect the little tiny 2 inch sumikkos( I collect them all, but I like tokage the most) and I build them lots of stuff, I’ve built a tokage themed submarine, hot air balloon, treehouse, airplane, and a giant mansion filled with many pictures of tokage in different costumes. Do you sell your tokages, or only collect them? Have you been to the sumikko gurashi store in Japan? I have a sailor tokage, a plain 2 inch one, a 3.5 inch sleepy tokage, a onsen tokage, some mini figures, and a kinda blob/ laying on his belly tokage, as well as a few that I can’t remember. Any chance you would ever do a tokage collection video? Anyway, from one tokage fan to another, you have good taste!

Sadly Im a very casual player so the fact I have to pay so much for shipping is just... hm :( I enjoyed going on and using my tickets here and there! I adore toreba. As a Canadian I really can't justify paying 50 us dollars a month when I'm still waiting for 50 + prizes to ship . I used to spend money but now I'm just gunna use my prime subscription. I won something with prime tp so atleast I have free shipping for the next two weeks. If the machines get better after the rest of my prizes ship I might start spending again. At this point spending a significant amount of money to win something I won't see till next year just doesn't make any sense.
