I have really never understood the constant comparison between Tori Amos and Kate Bush..but apparently it's been going on for years and years. Both are great, in my opinion. I am a huge Tori fan and didn't discover Kate Bush until years after I discovered Tori. Two completely different artists, two very different musical styles. Seriously, I don't really see that many similarities between them... Kate Bush is more pop, and her voice is more classical (almost musical theatre). Tori is more...alternative rock. And the subject matter of most of their music is very very different. I just don't understand the comparison..? Both are women...both play instruments...ok.

It's a voice and piano thing, but a lazy comparison. Both brilliant artists, but actually different, and Tori the mesmerising live concert artist that Kate never wanted to be.

Tori-have loved all the stuff you have done for many years! The Ocean to Ocean album is really good- got it on CD and also put it on my MP3 player! 😁 BTW- I also love Kate Bush and also-I'm in Kent not far from where Kate lived in Welling, Was only there the other day as met up with a friend of mine and we went to East Wickham-Open Space Park + Danson Park the day before! My friend Fraser him and his family's GP was Kate's dad Robert Bush who worked South East London in Plumstead in Barth Road And we used to speak to him loads when he finished work or when we was in Kent in Bexleyheath,Welling, Dartford, on our bikes- He some times gave us a lift back to Kent from Plumstead-Such a nice man! + some times said hello to Hannah as well as Kate! Have you ever been to any parts of Kent?? Great you love Cornwall was last there a very long time ago now 3 + half years ago need to go back!

Terrible interviewers at least three moments I was like ugh that’s disrespectful. Don’t know if I’m just American sensitive but after watching with my husband i was like that left a bad taste in my mouth cause I fucking love Tori. He was like yep that was bullshit. All the validation I need from and unbiased observer.

Totally agree, a little research beforehand would have told these two that Tori didn’t start playing the piano aged 12! ( l’m English and the BCC can do better than this) Tori as ever was so gracious. My husband and myself were almost shouting at the TV …. Do you know you are interviewing a musical genius

The whole "you sound like..." or "you look like..." after so many decades of an amazing music career, to still bring up someone else's name in a review or interview, doesn't it show a lack of class by the person who does it?

Tori, turn your voice up in the mix about one, two notches on the mixer 2-3 % more than it currently is. Try a remix with about a quarter less of the voice synthesis. But, otherwise what I've heard is excellent. -A fan since 1991

Oh come now. I've seen far, far worse. I thought they were actually decent. They listened, let her speak, and asked decent questions. I felt like Tori got to say what was on her mind and the reporters got to do their segment with professionalism. And this is coming from someone who has seen many a godawful interviews with Tori by interviewers who had no clue who they were speaking to.

I can listen to Tori any moment of any day but those were some really abhorrent reviewers. I don't think they really understood who they were talking to. Kudos to them, I guess, for having her on then, I suppose. I still enjoyed it despite them! 😅
