This is crazy. People come to youtube to find great videos of great music, not to bash on each other or their country of origin or what they do in their spare time. Good grief, if you don't like a video or song then why in the heck are you watching it? Just to complain? That's a colossal waste of time. I believe the original song is the Brazilian jazz standard "Manhã de Carnaval" from the film Orfeu Negro (Black Orpheus), written by Luis Bonfá as other have mentioned. Tori made a beautiful version, true to the original and yet very much her own.

Just to correct something, this song was written by Luis Bonfá, a fantastic Brazilian guitar player. This song is one of the most rerecorded of all Brazilian songs, it includes also a Pavarotti interpretation together with Caetano Veloso, a great singer from my country! As you can see, I'm Brazilian! lol Tori made it her way, she kept the beauty of the original and made its own!

Just a small addition, the lyrics was actually composed by Antônio Maria. The music itself was made by Luiz Bonfá, one of the greatest guitar players ever existed in Brazil. One interesting thing is this song is most recognized outside Brazil than domestically. We somehow are losing our history. Thanks for sharing it.
