I've just been to her concert last week and she played this song, a brilliant song from a brilliant voice.

Yeah, changed the theme of the song completely and made it relevant to where she is now in her life. Wish Tori would release this version as its brilliant

@EWFforTori I agree with you. I tried holding a candle to Tori one time, but burned my fingers.

About ten years ago she started the knocking on the piano (I had the privilege of seeing her perform as Ellen Amos way back when, too)--does anyone know if it's just an artistic habit or is she stopping the reverb of the piano??
@SmoSte12 жыл бұрын
Oh, I think Amos did and that is one of old songs too!
@UltimateEnd62212 жыл бұрын
Yeah and Tori copied this from Emilie Autumn's "What If" too right? Tori came way before Emilie, and WAY before Kate Nash.

Silent all these years is sort of a spin off of Kate Nash's song, Caroline which speaks of a persona sealing her lips. I think that if I was to write a new "Sybil" book, I would definitely pick Tori as a back up for Lynne Harper as told by Sheila Steele

I'm sorry... but comparing Tori Amos to Christina Aguilera??? Jesus Christ are you moronic? First of all Tori writes, plays and produces some of the most visceral music to come out of a female singer-songwriter for decades; Christina only screams pop bubblegum shit. Don't compare her with Tori, with Polly Jean or with Bjork, please!
@UltimateEnd62212 жыл бұрын
I'm not the one who said it. You sent that comment to the wrong person. I know Tori came years before Kate Nash.

I'm well aware that you didn't say it I liked your comment, technical slip up on my part

It's a percussive technique used by some pianists.

Oh my I'm trying not to be mean but seriously how old are you Tori Amos imitating Kate Nash etc...go do your research before you say such silly things lol

Tori would also be a good choise to do a documentary on Olympic champion, Clara Hughes, who seems to have several sets of teeth. Clara encouraged everyone here in Canada, via the media, to use Feb 08 to talk to someone about depression and mental illnesses. The Clara Hughes placards are all over the place here in Toronto with Clara's photos showing a shot of her holding a camera with a different set of teeth then her own. Mental is mental needless to say

Did she forget the second verse (You better hope I bleed real soon...How's that thought for you?) and then have to just keep dragging it out at the end? lol
