Because of this video and a few others from other book tubers, I picked up red rising and oh my GOSH I read the first book in a few days, immediately bought the second one and just finished it tonight and oh.my.gosh. the ENDING!! Morning star comes in the mail tomorrow; I'm going to be waiting for that delivery truck all day lol! I loved this video. I really haven't read many of the books on your list; I think just because we read different genres; however, I absolutely loved your review. You were absolutely glowing as you went over these books. Everyone can tell you have a real passion and love for these top 10. Made me want to read each of these books (that I typically wouldn't be interested in) and also go watch all of your other videos haha. However, we do agree about Red Rising!!! Such a great series. Your "best books of 2021" list made me excited for all books on this list! But golden sun on this list motivates me now finally to read red risining from my SUB! And as many good things as I have now read about the green bone saga... Ah, I just have to read it! My favorite read in 2021 was "The Final Empire" from Brandon Sanderson. The story just captivated me - it was a real page turner. And happy new year with a bunch of fantastic books in 2022! Stay safe and sound!

I tried Ring Shout after you gushed about it before, it ended up in my DNF pile. Jade Legacy I have to agree, is phenomenal! I cried, literally cried twice reading some scenes. I would never have discovered my love for fantasy and some Sci-fi if not for your channel. I loved Legendbourne too! I haven't done my top reads of the year yet but I'm trying to finish two last books before midnight hits 😊 I'm all over the place with my genre's, but I know Jade Legacy will be in my top books of the year! A highlight of 2021 was definitely P. Djeli Clark’s Dead Djinn series. Before the Coffee Gets Cold by Toshikazu Kawaguchi was another one that I appreciated. Definitely Jade city was one of the best books I've read this year, I can't wait to read Jade war (in Spanish), it should be out next month! I was also obsessed with Philadelphia by Christopher Davis (yes, the movie made book), lol. I watched the movie so long ago, and really liked it, but the book was so good! And I couldn't stop listening Streets of Philadepphia by Springsteen for a month, ugh. An audiobook I really enjoyed was Mexican Gothic by Silvia Moreno García, it was just fun! (Storytel was my discovery of the year, no doubt). I will be reading some Djeli Clark this year for sure! Happy new year, Tori! E.
