I built one by myself, 1500W (up to 1/2" MS) with a shuttle table and a moving dust collection tray. Is there any magic?

Did you level your table by the sticker on the torch mount?
@tormachinc3 жыл бұрын
In this video we leveled the height of four points on the water table to a point on the z-axis torch mount. The Tormach T sticker was only on a few of the early units, and should never be used as a reference point.

@@tormachinc then it is all really good. This machine is the best workshop choise I can find on the market, there are a lot of benefits in your machine I was thinking of, e.g. V-groove bearing on the SBR guides for durability and precision, rigid machined steel frame with aluminium X axis beam, compact servos and stepper on Z, and safe torch mount. Maybe additional linear guide covers and cleaning pads would be desirable. I understand the main market target you've chosen and your nearest competitor. How about attachable front frame, so the user can order an improvement to his 1300PL machine by mounting additional table frame size, reaching 4'x8' cutting area? Or additional attachment for a needle engraver or marker? Or auto water leveling option? Also. I didn't find your video for plasma marking a drilling holes (without punching), which is a lifesaver for a workshoper and a great benefit! It is always easier to by an entry-level machine, suitable for uprades to reach the industrial machine level as the workshop grows. But it is only my opinion, the 1300PL is really-really good.

Why do they insist on sealing off all that valuable real-estate underneath the machine? I've never seen a workshop that wasn't always critically short of storage space. I'm sure they have a reason for this but all things being equal if there was a similar alternative that did not block off all that space I would buy that one.

The addition of the panels increases the lateral stability of the 1300PL Plasma Table, which increases rigidity and provides a more precise cut. You can temporarily remove the panel to store items, but we recommend reattaching them right away.

@@tormachinc understood. having a rigid frame is also very important.
