Built by Italian manifacturer Pinfari, Tornado was the first RC-70 to be built in the world when it opened in 1998 at M&D's Scotland's Theme Park. The ride took guests through 3 inversions, speeds of 72km/h and a layout of around 750m. Tornado became notorious for his rough ride experience, so bad, in 2006, the third inversion (a corkscrew) was removed and replaced. It wouldn't be the last time thaty M&D's would build a Pinfari coaster tho, as they inaugurated the small inverted coaster Tsunami in 2004, which would jump to the chronicles in 2016 after it derailed.
Tornado, despite the bad experience, would remain at the park until 2020, when it was sold and relocated in France as "Gotham". Fun Fact: despite operating as a fixed attraction, Tornado was designed to be portable like many of Pinfari's coasters
