Tornado in Spartanburg SC 10/23/2017

The tornado politely closed the door of that white mini van on the left side.

AT the time, I lived at the apartments near Heron Circle. I could actually see a bit of it going through. The thing that bothered me though was, I could see the tornado, I could hear them announcing its location on the TV, but the torrnado siren NEVER went off. I took that as a hint of that being nature's way to move

I worked in the old Beaumont Mill when this hit. Several of us were hunkered down in the bathroom. I’ll never forget.

I hope nobody was hurt in that? The way that wall blew out, it looked like pressure difference as much as the winds.

Fortunately no one was injured. The warehouse on the right was empty. My team was in the warehouse on the left of the side walk. A hole in the roof was the only damage we sustained. They said it was because of all the trailers in the dock doors that protected us.

Anyone else figure someday they'll just make important structures entirely out of security cameras, for the ultimate protection against natural disasters?

I don't know what this company makes, but I'm pretty sure it has more cameras than NORAD.

This tornado missed my work less than half mile, while idiots at work watched looking out the door, I took shelter, just knew the roof would be ripped off, that was a ride. This looks like Cemex plant on Simuel Rd, formally Metrmont, my work just across Bus 85

At the time i was in my mobile home hoping that nothing would happen to us. The power stayed out at my house for 2 1/2 days

I'm, glad I don't live there. You can bet the landlord wants all his rents while your out and repairs are going on and you have to live elsewhere.
