The very first siren is a Whelen Vortex but it winds down far too quick and then starts up again later, that’s definitely a malfunction you should report. The other ones you hear much longer in the Background are Federal 2001s.

This is because they are speakers and not Manuel sirens therefor they can set how fast they want it to wind up and wind down

@@xavierrr0387 no he means it turns off too early

That’s prb bc they activated noon test instead of alert by accident

@@xavierrr0387 Aree you stupid? That's not even right. You can't set the wind-down speed on a Whelen. Also please learn spelling and stop being stupid. Know what you're talking about before replying to comments and stop correcting people with wrong information. He was right. That Whelen is malfunctioning because it isn't supposed to activate multiple times

Nice storm footage with frequent lightning strikes, scary looking cloud formations, and sirens. You are very brave to film this, and hope you enjoyed the storm. Neat to hear multiple sirens systems from the different areas sound at once.

Tornadoes warnings, thunderstorm transitions, spectacular/scary several lightning strikes disseminated by camera fascinates me so much🙂🙂🙂

I remember visiting San Antonio back in the 90s and being woken up in the middle of the night by a massive storm like that. No tornado sirens though. Where in Texas was this storm happening?

Watching this I can hear the tornado warning from the PA System it is faint but still loud enough for the area I must say it is amazing that sirens can rotate and echos more then a few miles 😊😊😊😊😊

Sounds like that Whelen activated in noon test or something. Weird how it winds back down again

Is this a looped video or something? Just seems so repetitive with the one 2001 winding up and then the whelen doing a quick wail
@theterrarian4048 ай бұрын
Not looped, some cities will constantly turn their sirens on and off. Most cities keep sirens running during an alert for at most 10 minutes.

Unfortunately since whelen sirens are electric the power went out yet ASC and Federal Signal sirens example the 2001's have a battery backup so thats why it shut right off. Also, no thor gaurds? (lame)
@BRISTOLFORCE2009 Жыл бұрын
Whelen sirens have backup battery but these specific units don’t or it’s just some mechanical issue
