Thomas Norton They either were on tests or heading for continued refurbishment. The logo isn't on there yet so that shows its not all been done. Likelihood is they were on test.

Leighton Buzzard is the best place I have ever visited and I have been given some great advice there is a place called Meadow Way which sounds a nice place to camp there for 2 weeks or so I can not go wrong. as its nice and quiet and no trouble ever there from what a local lad told me.

I always enjoy coming to Leighton Buzzard each and every time without fail, the town and the surrounding area is very nice to go to, if you enjoy country walks then I recommend that you go to Heath and Reach and go to the country park that's there. Very good to walk through

Re: the 390 that only goes as far as Crewe. It used to go to Preston, but was cut back to Crewe in the May (2017) timetable change.

Silly question but does the whole WCML have neutral sections along it?

As far as I'm aware they have them from London up to Glasgow. It would seem strange if they weren't. Given the fact that they need to segregate the power to certain areas of the line from time to time. Plus they have small Sub Stations located along the length of the network. Hope that helps :)

Tornado922 Thanks for the response. I ended up asking the Train sim community as there is a route that goes between Kings Cross and Peterborough but the developers left the neutral sections out for some strange reason.

Harry stones the platforms they thunder through there are out of use so nobody goes on them. At the stations where they go through platforms used by passengers, they have the yellow line for them to stand behind for their own safety

The speed limit going through Leighton Buzzard towards Milton Keynes is 90MPH as they are approaching a few sharp bends and Linslade Tunnel is just beyond the station. The speed that a train can pass through a station completely depends on the physical speed limit of that section of line unless the train is actually limited to a certain speed, for example freight trains are only allowed to go at a maximum of 70mph but will usually go at around 65mph on the majority of the network

The front 4 cars of the train once terminated at Northampton will then proceed to the Siemans Train Care depot where they will be stored for a few hours before being sent back out again. The rear 4 cars will then carry onto Birmingham
