April 15, 2016 - Eva Oklahoma Tornado
My first and only tornado of April manifest itself as a misty carousel of suction vortices. Though producing well below average tornadoes for the month, April well over compensated with spectacular lightning storms.
May 7, 2016 - Eckley and Wray Colorado tornadoes
Three gorgeous tornadoes touched down and were highly visible from miles away.
May 9, 2016 - Katie / Wynnwood & Sulphur Oklahoma tornadoes
34 tornadoes were reported, including one of the two strongest rated tornadoes of the year. The Katie / Wynnewood EF4 was responsible for one death, and the destruction of several homes. Along with extensive ground scouring and severe tree damage, some vehicles were thrown and mangled beyond recognition. The second tornado from this storm grew to over a mile wide and touched down near Sulphur Oklahoma. Unanchored homes, mobile homes and outbuildings were leveled or completely swept away.
A large metal storage garage would be swept away and the vehicles inside it thrown up to 280 yards. (over 250 meters)
A young man who was taking shelter in his home's most interior room had his entire house around him violently demolished. Only the two walls and toilet he was clinging to would remain. He would walk away without a scratch.
May 16, 2016 - Felt Oklahoma Tornadoes
I witnessed two tornadoes on this day. One emerged from a wall of rain and roped out. The other tornado was a nub funnel cloud and brief spin up.
May 21, 2016 - Leoti Kansas Tornadoes and Supercell
Early forecasts on May 21st suggested tornadoes were unlikely however three small tornadoes would touch down, but the show stopper was the incredible mesocyclone structure and continuous garage of cloud to ground lightning strikes.
May 22, 2016 - Canadian River Valley Tornadoes
A few tornadoes touched down near the Canadian River valley, however I was late on the scene and only caught the end of the last tornado.
May 23, 2016 - Turkey Texas tornado
After the sun set, a large wedge tornado was revealed with occasional lightning strikes and power flashes. For the second day in a row, i missed the show by only moments.
May 24, 2016 - Dodge City Tornado Outbreak
A dozen incredibly photogenic tornadoes moved slowly over good road networks. Though some damage occurred to several homes, there were zero fatalities reported. The audio of the tornado sirens in this video was bot eerie and beautiful. Two different tornado sirens harmonized through the streets as tornadoes just passed to the west, missing the more populated areas.
May 25, 2016 - Abilene / Chapman Tornado
This EF4 was the other highest rated tornado of 2016.
It completely swept away a split-level home and bent railroad tracks horizontally. Numerous vehicles including a Freightliner truck and a combine harvester were tossed and mangled beyond recognition. Despite being on the ground for 90 minutes, No fatalities were reported.

I'm not familiar with most storm chasers, but the ones who start hysterically screaming and yelling at others to get back in the car and such drive me nuts. You can tell they're doing it as an act. If they were that genuinely scared it'd be the last time they ever went storm chasing.

You're a genuinely good-to-the-core human being in the same kind of way Mr. Rogers was, and that is a high compliment. By the way, have you ever thought about posting the unedited, long, raw footage of a chase? I would definitely enjoy watching 30, 45, 60 min+ of continuous, non-sped-up footage of a single chase. Videos like that make the viewer feel as though they're along for the ride. Thanks again for being an awesome human being.

That was a very respectful dedication to ur mom, and to all of us parents. My mom was killed by a drunk driver when I was 15, I was in the car when she drew her last breath and my dad died 8 years later. I was a single dad of 2 now grown young men, it was hard to the fact that I deprived myself of many things (sometimes including food) so that they never went hungry and so that they had everything they not necessarily wanted but needed. I appreciate that gesture and recognition sir, you've earned my respect.

This is my favorite storm chasing channel of all. Not only is the video quality top notch here, but there is more depth too... allowing us to see some of the other sights on the roads that a chaser comes across (wildlife, wild people, and wild music). And the focus on other weather phenomenon (especially lightning) adds another dimension beyond just tornadoes. Plus it's all edited together so nicely, with Hank's original music providing a wonderful score to the breathtaking footage. Too many other channels give us shaky videos with overly-excited people shouting that there's a tornado on the ground. Thanks for the great videos, Hank, and best wishes for a great chase in 2017!

8:56 to 10:48 is just mesmerizing. the music is perfect, it shows the entire lifetime of the tornado which is probably the most beautiful ive ever seen, tied in with the time-lapse at the end is just so well done. It gives me the best vibes ever. Period. I find myself being able to watch videos from Pecos Hank that were from a long time ago again and again because they are just so entertaining. Keep following this, you might want to be at least .2 away from heading 166 to land on center line. Be cautious of altitude. You do not want to be over or under glide slope. I was living in Garden City, KS at the time. We saw a good-looking storm, had time on our hands and gas was cheap, so we hopped in the car and drove an hour to Leoti. We, along with every other storm chaser, watched it head north. It WAS beautiful! Love your footage.

Hey Hank, thanks for all your awesome video's! Man, you sure have the best severe weather shots available on the internet!! I love severe weather and all it's phenomena! In 2013 I was driving to Oklahoma when that deadly EF5 struck Moore. What a drama. I didn't get to see this tornado, but I did see the supercell that spawned it develop right in front of me. Spending the night in a hotel in Oklahoma, I talked to 2 little brothers who were in the elementary school that got hit and who lost their home to the tornado. Their story was mind boggling! The next day, driving back to Dallas, I did see the aftermath as well. Unreal! This event, despite being horrific off course, left such a big impression on me that it totally got me into stormchasing. So in June 2016 I came back to the USA, all the way from Holland, for 2 weeks of solo chasing. Allthough June was a pretty quiet month and i didn't get to see an actual tornado, the severe weather I witnessed was mesmerizing and made the 7000 miles driving so worth it! I made a video of my chase and I am pretty proud of it. It's most Gopro and Iphone footage because my Sony camera let me down, but nevertheless I got some great shots. Can you tell me what you think of my video and can you please help me get it some more views maybe? Or maybe you've got some advise for more views? It took me so much effort and I would love to show it to more people. Anyway, your feedback would be highly appreciated!! Please keep in mind that I am an amateur who's pretty new to the game. I hope to be back in the USA in may 2018 for more chasing. Keep up your great work and keep your awesome viedeos coming!
