Your story about thinking a horny toad was a dinosaur reminded me of an infamous moment in my family history. My family came to the southern USA from Russia, and one of the family's favorite stories to tell at every gathering was about the time my uncle was a little kid playing outside and came running inside to tell my grandma he had seen a dinosaur, my grandma went outside with him to see what he was talking about, and by God she saw the dinosaur too. She ran back home and put all of her children in her wagon and rode to the sheriff's office to report the dinosaur. The sheriff followed my grandma back to her farm and upon seeing the dinosaur he politely informed her that the dino was, in fact, an armadillo.

Greetings from Czech Republic Hank! Let me do a honorable mention for tornado that passed through Moravia on the evening of 24th of June, which ended up being one of the most powerful tornadoes of 2021, ending the lives of 6 people and injuring more than 200. Mind you, this was the first significant tornado in Czechia since 2004 and first confirmed tornado since 2018, so that thing really came out of nowhere. Funny thing is, the evening before, I was preparing for an exam and saw in the news that a supercell is forming in Austria, and was thinking that maybe, just maybe, we could see a tornado. Hopefully we won't see anything like this in a long time, the videos from that day still gives me chills..

Watching your videos for over 8 years has set me to be a storm chaser here in a few years and the coverage of the damage from the December 10-11 outbreak really shows a lot to what storms can do. When my hometown of Mayfield, KY was hit by the tornado, I went there 20 minutes after it went through and helped people where I could. Like honestly, you showing footage is one thing, but living through the nightmare and seeing the devastation firsthand really separated the bonds of cinema and reality to make people more aware of what the country is going through. Hank I just want you to know that you are an inspiration to me and you have inspired me to do a meteorology class in university, and do storm chasing part time, soon full time hopefully. My family didn’t want me to do this but because of you and your videos I am still doing it. I live in Canada and there aren’t much tornadoes here, most of them EF0, but there was an EF4 in a town near me a few years ago, so hopefully I find more of those. However, I am considering taking a vacation to texas and Oklahoma this spring, and hopefully we can see some tornadoes together. Thank you Mr. Hank. Love and support from Canada

I love how you educate and get excited about everything you show, but you always remain respectful of the power the storms have, its never really blown out to be more than it is. A lot of shows I've seen do that for the drama and the views but I love how relaxed you are in your tellings, even with the big storms its still a very respectful, "relaxed" atmosphere which makes it easy to learn from

Hank, I just wanted to say how much you've inspired me as a person and as an artist. I rewatch your videos every time i need to focus, or just when I need a laugh or to hear your voice. Every time a tiny storm comes over where I'm at, I always pop outside and think of your videos. Even though I'm still fairly young, you've solidified something in my mind about storms. The weather, and the unknown. Thank you so much for the joy and laughs you've brought to this community, and to me personally.

Your videos truly are something else. I find your way calmness so refreshing after the always over-the-top screamfests you usually see in tornado chasing videos. Usually it's 95% screaming, car shots, and confusion, and then like 1 minute of a tornado from some weird angle. WIth you it's exclusively fantastic footage, with some nice quiet moments with cute animals mixed in.

We had just set up a storm shelter prior, but couldn’t go in it yet as it hadn’t been set up for someone who is disabled in our household, and we just went with a no man left behind stand point. We had to stay up till 6am. One of the EF1s was in my same county but I don’t think it hit us, the wind was pretty bad, so it might’ve grazed us. It was too dark to really see if any were there, that’s what makes severe weather at night so much worse.

@@scarletfox7080 Yes - I hate night storms/tornado watches. I want to see what’s coming! I used to live in Georgia and they always seemed to hit at might. I've lived in Tornado Alley my whole life and always thought they were the most terrifying things ever, but I never realized just how beautiful they could be until a funnel cloud about a week ago in my county (I didn't actually see it. I just remember that a bunch of other people in my neighborhood did) peaked my interest and I started watching tornado videos. Now I realize just how much majesty there is to these insane forces of nature. They're still terrifying, of course (I almost lost my grandma in the December 10th EF4s. It barely missed her, but leveled three houses across the street from her. Her house was still damaged from the wind, though, and she still hasn't been able to repair her house completely), and I don't think I could ever have the guts to be a storm chaser and try to get that close to one, but I have a new respect for tornadoes. That first low precipitation supercell you showed was absolutely gorgeous. You definitely succeeded in getting some very photogenic tornadoes. And I had never heard of sprites before. What in the world are those? They're so beautiful! Also, I absolutely love your respect for animals. The way to handle them makes me see that you are truly a man who appreciates nature. In regards to both storms and animals.

Yeah, the end of the year's storms were devastating, I was in between two tornados, the closest one leveling the downtown area of a nearby town, it doesn't really feel real until you slowly go by the destruction, hoping everyone made it out okay. It was especially sad because it was close to Christmas, and spirits were high, and some people had everything torn away from them. Then, the very start of the year had my county with two tornado warnings, the eerie silence coupled with the tornado sirens outside after the New Year had begun made it feel like a horror movie..

This was so great to watch, I loved every aspect of it. The filming and pictures are spectacular! But the narration, the people behind the storm chasers, the animals and the beautiful landscape made it into so much more, like I got a glimpse into the whole sensation of being there, even though Im about 9.000km away, watching on a laptop in a country that barely even knows the phenomenon. Thats a masterpiece you got there and I I wouldnt be surprised if some bigger company might notice and make an offer for a documentation like this. Good stuff as always Hank! Those back-to-back systems in December won't be forgotten. It was tough watching that supercell track for so long through town after town. Here in MN, the same system dumped 20" of snow in places. All of it was gone after a foggy 50+ degree day on the 15th, and MN went from 0 recorded tornadoes in history in the month of December to 22. Dec 15 was also the most tornadoes in one day for 2021. Here's to an equally wild (but less deadly) 2022!
