One of the many reasons why I love Pecos Hank - while every chaser has their eyes to the sky, he's the one who notices the cool salamander hiding out on the ground. Even if he's in the middle of a chase, he stops to protect and appreciate the wildlife who are also affected by these storms. As much as I love the incredible tornado shots, that segment of the lightning strikes setting fire to a field was my favorite moment in the video. Had me gasping out loud. Happy holidays, Hank!

I’ve been storm chasing since I was 12 (21 now) and we put 200,000 miles on his truck in 2 years due to the fact we live in Maryland and end up driving 1000 miles to get to the outlook.

Hanks videos do an amazing job of capturing the spirit and adventure of storm chasing. The calm demeanor and stellar camera work really tells the story about how not only can storm chasing be thrilling and exciting, but also full of spectacle. His highlighting of the community paints a great picture of the people in the community and little things like dogs walking around are great reminders of the random real life things that can happen while traveling around the US. Beautifully written! I have been a fan of Hank's work for several years now and his skill at setting a mood is one of a kind. I think that's fine, and that fear is part of the charm of tornadoes (for me at least). Such awe inspiring constructs of physics and nature, some of them holding enough power to wipe our homes off their foundations or whole towns off the map in rare cases. They're awe inspiring, beautiful, tragic in the cases where there is loss of life, and absolutely terrifying things.

I love tornadoes so much! My town got hit by a big maybe ef3-ef4 and i definitely had lots of ptsd after every time it got windy or even looked cloudy. Rainwrapped nocturnals really can do a number on how safe someone feels. I live right in the hotspots for tornadoes in Oklahoma. Learning about and studying tornadoes after has helped me overcome my fear a bit and now I really love videos like these.

2024 was by far one of the craziest years of tornadoes, still not even stopping December! I remember most of these tornadoes and watching live coverage on them. My own town ended up being hit by an EF-4 as well during a big outbreak. Having such a violent tornado come so close to taking my home and taking important parts of my town has given me a new sense of respect for these beautiful beasts of nature. Keep on chasing Hank! Hey Hank I'm from a part of the US that never gets tornadoes, but for the first time ever we had a real alert come up due to a cold front spiral that formed over the area. I cannot say how much that siren terrified me, and the alarm turned out to just result in a "watch." I feel like a coward being terrified by just the thunder and storm and warning, and I found new respect for those who live in more prone areas. Nothing more to this, just wanted to share.

17:44. That was my first ever twister. I was in Forestburg at the time. When it touchdown, and saw that sucker from a bolt of lightning I booked it home. 23:03, I was also in Houston during the Hurricane, I was going to the ffa convention with my classmates, and it was my first Hurricane. The hotel I was staying at got badly damaged and had to move to a new one. Thankfully it didn’t get cancelled.
