What’s wrong with that? I’m guessing they presented good coverage to watch. If there was a lull in storm action it figures you’d switch to the one that has some wild action to broadcast. Connors broadcasts were unreal at times. That’s the beauty of having a few teams out there storm chasing imo 👍

@@rebthirteen8012 because they have their own streams on their own channels. This is the only channel I can watch Reed's stream. I like Connor and Freddy and don't mind when they're being shown when Reed doesn't have service or if they have a really good shot of the storm, but they shouldn't be the majority of the stream when Reed has connection and is also sitting in the eyewall. Freddy and Connor are kids so I expect some immaturity but it was a little much this stream. Screaming about "we're gonna watch Hawk Tuah podcast in the eye of the hurricane!!" As people's homes and businesses are being damaged in the background was a weird vibe. I get being excited by powerful weather but they were kinda treating it like a frat party

@@dariamoran9454 they’re young and enthusiastic with little fear in the face of adversity. I see that as a good quality to possess in life, not flaws to be frowned upon. And fear, let’s face it can take many faces. Theirs was one of bravado mixed with carefree spirituality. They could’ve got seriously injured or worse. But they chose to be who they are. That’s admirable in my opinion.

At some point i fear that Reed will take it too far. He may have some PHD in meteorology - but he takes things way too far. IMO he only shows off some type of - look at me - I outsmart it all. He entices many storm chasers into a sense of - safety. Like - this is not bad. He completely plays with peoples lives. His luck will only last for so long as he pushes and pushes and pushes the limits. Very unresponsible. Go use your PHD to teach or create something useful. At this point - you set no positive example but crazy storm chasing.
@GPDogDroolАй бұрын
Anybody tell you what job to have or how to do it? You obviously aren't aware of the fact he KNOWS what he's doing and has done it a long time. The fact that he has a PhD + so much experience also makes him about 99% right in his predictions and understanding storms. His research IS teaching. All of it combined has saved many lives, some in the middle of chases! Go tell a cop not to be a cop. 🙄
@acidbubblebath77Ай бұрын
I agree with you. People were killed last night and others lost everything they had while these guys were playing Mr. tough guy in the eyewall. This display of frat party antics sets a terrible example to the public about safety during life-threatening weather events like this and simultaneously undermines the rest of the community's efforts to inform the public on how to stay safe when life threatening weather events do occur. All that aside, I can't help but wonder how all this would have played out in the end had any one of them been struck by a piece of debris while the eyewall was passing? While I am relieved this did not happen, doing crap like this only increases the likelihood that next time it won't go well for anyone.
@acidbubblebath77Ай бұрын
@@GPDogDrool Just because someone knows what they are doing does not negate the fact that at any point, they can make a reckless mistake and pay the price for it. The guys from TWISTEX were not exactly amateurs but were also not nearly as reckless as these guys were here. Let me be clear about one thing though, this is not an indictment against Reed's work as a whole, but it is an admonishment against what him and his team did in this particular event. If I am wrong about this, then fine, but I just don't see how playing macho while there is a high potential of being struck by debris that is being driven by winds of F2 magnitude and cheering about it is going to dissuade the public from either trying the same thing or outright ignoring public safety mandates (i.e. stay indoors, evacuate, etc).
