I make it a practice to tell the TRUTH in my videos. My integrity is all I have at the end of the day. Influencers like me do not have the resources that Consumer Reports have. That's why Toro gives us these products to test. Since KZbin only pays about $0.004 per video view, you do the math and tell me how many views I need to get in one month to make it possible to purchase one myself and then pay for all the costs to record and post-produce the video. Let me know what your guess is in the comments below. Thanks for your support. Spoiler Alert: You need 1,000,000 views to earn pre-tax $4,000.00.

Did I miss why there was an extended break between content videos? I was enjoying following your observations in the house being built. Happy to see to back and putting content out.

No, you didn't miss a thing. There was a break because: #1 Full darkness at 4:30 PM just after the workers left the house made it impossible to record video and then I lost access when the house was closed up. #2 There is zero financial incentive to record these videos as you can see in my pinned comment above. I'd rather spend my time selling my knowledge to people who are willing to pay for it if that makes sense. I can do that creating plumbing isometric drawings and phone-coaching calls: shop.askthebuilder.com/15-minute-phone-or-video-conversation-with-tim/

Thanks for your review, I think it is the first review with meaningful snow depth. The Toro Power Clear, gas powered, has been the top rated single stage snow blower for years per Consumer Reports. I have owned a Toro Power Clear for years. Per Toro, the battery powered Power Clear is the same as the battery powered, except for the “motor”. Your comments relative to the paddles, they do need to be changed. I have about 1700 square feet of driveway and sidewalks. I did mine and my neighbor’s for about 3 years before needing to change the rubber paddles and plastic scrapper. They are routine maintenance that you can do yourself. Next time, could you keep it in full power mode and see if you could do your entire drive and walks with the provided batteries. I hope Toro has the option of positioning the chute with a slide mechanism mounted to the side of the handle like the currently have available, makes it a lot easier. Thanks again for your review.

TNX for the input about the paddles. I can already tell you the 10 Amp/Hrs would NEVER do my entire driveway and sidewalks. In this video, I had not done my sidewalk or front porch and there was still 600 feet of driveway to do to get to the cul-de-sac. MAYBE 15 Amp/Hrs would have done it. I see you can install two 7.5 A/Hr batteries in the machine so that MIGHT do it.

Thanks for the review. For usual, the rubber paddles have a wear indicator (a little hole in the rubber). While blowing snow with a single stage snow blower, you don't need the wheels. The trick is to lift the handle a little bit that the wheels come off the ground. So you got more weight on the paddles and the "self propelling effect" is more noticeable.

If you do what you suggest, snow chutes out UNDER the blower back to the operator negating the clean sweep made by the paddles.

@@askthebuilder I do what I suggest for more than 10 years. You need a feeling for the right height. Found a short video to show you how it works: kzbin.info/www/bejne/fJu7ZIeIbK-ihcU

I'm glad I watch this before buying one because I do not like all that bending over that you have to do to turn the chute

Interesting.. I see Toro makes two versions of this. The E21 with the metal auger with two center rubber paddles...this version you have to push. And this one for about $200 more...which has the older style rubber auger as the "self propelled" model. Be interesting to see how the two stack up.

I'm sure the performance is very close. I just tested the DeWALT 60-volt and it does just as well as the Toro. The DeWALT one has nice finger controls to aim the chute left/right.

How did the rubber auger hold up after you did your whole driveway w/ 6” of snow?
@askthebuilder
@askthebuilder 6 ай бұрын
Very little wear. The auger will last for years depending on how *smooth* the pavement is.

@@askthebuilder I know that this unit is self-propelled via the auger I guess, but you did say you still had to push it. I’m really kind of wondering how much of a push it’s going to require.
