I have a 54 inch toro zero turn for fall cleanups I put a traffic cone in chute inside bagger area. Mulch leaves take cone out then collect leaves. Use high lift blades Note my chute does not have a belt drive system just a chute.

Completely different audience and application... but I can agree that with my Ego 21” push mower, which has stock dual blades, the best mod is to ditch the flat top blade and put the high lift blade on there, with the gator as the lower. I get a bette cut, vacuum , bag and mulch compared to any other configuration I have tried. Just 2 cents from a homeowner 👊🏼

Yes, exactly. The gator blades don't vac the best. But the smaller the chopped leaves the more difficult to vacuum in general, especially when wet.

Get g6 gator blades. They’re a high lift and a mulching blade. I have no issue on my kubota with lift using those blades

We will leave the bags off and run over the lawn/leaves then thrown the bags on and vac them up. It literally allows us to empty 1/3 of what we would normally have to. We used the gator g6 this year and had really good results.

I lik leaf plow not many folks have one by it is nice way to make mower work extra year round great video . We got vaccuuum service hear in West end Henrico only thirty days left of vaccuuum well that's all I need with plowand Stihl typically anyways starting leafs tomorrow

That’s without question the best bagger system I’ve seen on a stander. I would put an x-blade setup on that and put a gator and a high lift blade on each spindle. Best of both worlds and should be 1 pass to grind it up fine and vac it up clean I think

I have a titan 2500 w the same bagger-just on back of Z... I tried gator blades last year and didn't like the results either. I prefer the high lift @ 3"(which is 2.75") for cut hight, that seems to be the best recipe for my machine. Thx for the video

Cool to hear the high lifts make such a difference. Thought the impeller suction would make it okay to use whatever blades you wanted? Learned something there. Also, I'm watching the little bit of rain come down, wondering why it makes me so happy to see the little drops hit. Then I remembered, winter here has literally been the worst in 70 years. Snow every 2 days, stupid cold -25 and windy, feeling like winter would never end. Maybe tomorrow will be the last day of snow clearing for the season. Thanks for helping me to remember that rain exists and it's not always frozen.

Ive been using my 52 ferriss with gator blades and my accelerated bagger with extended attachment 4.3 cube plus 3.0 =7.3 cube capacity then just dumped in green barrels the in to dump insert or suck it up with leaf vac and my echo 8010 thats my set up

I have mine for a year now it's amazing big time saver the only thing that has replaced the springs that holds it up when you want to empty the bags out bad design, they need heavier springs.

This is my experience, with my machines, in my conditions, and on my properties: After 28 season, many thousands different properties and conditions, EVERY typical blade combination and a few novelty blades if you will...gators are not that good. They dont reduce clipping size enough to give up the lift and smoother airflow while discharging and certainly do not bag as well as a medium or high lift blade. If one is running them to get a 'mulched' finish, youre going to be double cutting in most northern grass conditions anyway and the stripe from a standard/high lift blade is way better. There is nothing to gain. Under ideal conditions the gators did do a fine job without double cutting, but then so will the medium/high lift blades. Also under said conditions a mulch kit outperforms gators by far. I keep one machine with a mulch kit and another with standard blades. For moderate to heavy leaf conditions (normally we remove heavy leaves before mowing, but assuming we cant) we do one pass discharge then run the mulch kit machine and its a bagged finish, zero debris. Just my $.02 on gators.

Will a grandstand or Multiforce be good for mulching wet grass - for commercial or residential? I live in Ireland and it's always wet and for commercial at least, they like it done every 2 weeks which makes for lush, wet grass cuts. Is the engine powerful enough or should I look to a diesel? Also, will that bagging system even pick up wet, mulched grass do you think? Your points on blades are helpful advice. Thanks, Gordon

@@stevecarr1992 I had the best result on the middle spindle... It seemed to pull the leaves from the far side of the deck and the fan would pull them from chute and into the catcher

The thing with gator blades is they are designed to chop up the grass and return it into the turf, not throw a lot of it out the side. Using an x blade combo would give you the best of both worlds

It's similar to the zmaster but made specifically for the stander.

It's not something you want to take on and off more than once a season. 2 person job and a little bit of a workout because of tight fit by design. It needs to be solid and not move.

Hi Nayler, how easy is this bagging system to take off? Could I fit it on a 5x10 trailer with a 52" deck? If I took the system off then back on?? Or do I need to buy a wider trailer to run this set up??

It's easy enough to take off once or twice when needed but it's not intended to be taken off everytime you need to get on and off the trailer. Especially if you're busy yourself... It's heavy and awkward for one person. It's really wide. You need at least 6 foot wide trailer to fit comfortably.

When and where did you get this bagger? Yes! I have the exact set up on my sitting mower. I love it. I've had it for 20 years. Bearing finally went out in the turbo part and had to cross reference to snow blower bearing. Gator blades might be pushing the grass and leaves back into grass. The tips I would give is to go slow and if necessary, drop the blades a bit to get some grass with the leaves. This helps to pack the leaves into the bags. Also, I put plastic bags in the bagger and secure them by rolling the excess bag over the lip of the bags, plus the screen where air exits has to remain clear so I tap it several times with my hand every time I dump the bag. Please tell me where and when you bought this bagging system.

We just took the 5" foot poly snow blade off ours and changed the hydro fluid for the first time. Had some engine issues over the winter. Have you had any? Also installed the 52" inch deck today. We were surprised when we realized there are no antiscalp wheels on the 52" deck. There are on the 60". Have you had any or many issues with scalping?

I ran my Grandstand the whole year. Never a week that it didn't get used at least once... First problems after 1300 hours during end of mowing season, before bagger system was installed, hydro leaks by wheel. I consider myself fortunate that nothing else has happened in 4 years with this mower.👍 No scalping issues but I have a 48" Deck...

I scalped some nice lawn on my second ever job with the 52" only in one spot and only because it was my first hill/ embankment so it was operator error likely. I did order the anti scalp wheels though as I want to avoid any future scalps. Fancy not having any that's weird for a $12k to $13 k mower.

Nice video. Try using Stens Silver Streak Toothed Hi-Lift blades. The steel is much harder than the Oregon blades. They hold their edge alot longer too.

Good tip. Didnt even think about that. I just got a dump from seat bagger that has a pony motor that runs the blower instead of the deck pulley. I have gator blades on my mower and I have been having to go over the lawns a couple times because it is leaving little chopped up pieces. I never thought of running the highlifts since I always run Gators. I'm gonna try out your idea because I also have a stander that I can use to mulch up the leaves beforehand
