In my personal opinion, you shouldn't try and rush this mower to get it done for April, and continue on it next winter. It's often easier and more satisfying to just complete it in one go. Especially since you have a working mower (or even multiple), I personally wouldn't rush finishing this one. It could put a mark on an otherwise very extensive restoration project.

Connor, I'd like to see what that lawn looks like when the snow finally melts. I'm about 2 hours northwest of you, and my lawn usually doesn't loose all color until the mid-February/March timeframe. Right now it's just plain ugly and matted down. Anyway I'd like to see what keeping it short and more persistent feeding will do to it.

piece of advice.... take the roof off.... that is actually a club car roof that is kind of standard operating procedure for golf courses when the operator spends numerous hours on a daily basis mowing. Most likely your unit was used for tee boxes, walking paths, green surrounds, or even an intermediary cut if the facility had one. In your case you will likely mow your property in about 30 to 45 minutes and you could enjoy the sunshine.... since would likely be mowing after work a couple times a week sitting in the sun from sunrise to mid day should not be of concern... you may also have issues with some of your trees on your property because of that roof that should not even be there.

Are you worried about possible soil compaction using a much heavier unit?

those things have wide tires, displaces the weight really well. Compaction is non existent with these mowers. There is a reason golf courses uses them on big greens and collars.

Haven't you heard? Sand + clay = concrete, so Connor has a good base for his grass to grow in. Compaction is no cause for concern for the Lawn Rebel. He's gonna poke holes in it anyway.

It is an MTD powered by Tecumseh engine. It needs a good carb clean. It works pretty good though when you get it going.
