Maybe not many people would need or want to try this BUT THANK YOU for showing us how, I learned alot. I'm going to do this for sure.

These are going to be so nice for wildlife research and wildlife photography where you need quiet operations

Great tutorial! Can you provide any recommendations on how you would incorporate an airfoil into the propeller shape instead of the blade just being a simple wedge?

Is this the "correct" geometry, or just something that looks like a toroidal prop? I would think the angle would be different for the innermost and outermost part.

thanks for the tutorial, there's a problem, this propeller doesn't work because it's not based on an airfoil. With this modeling process you can't make a propeller with airfoil section

I'd like to see more videos like this: someone who knows what they're doing, building various things, explaining as they go. A couple of suggestions: the explanations are mostly great, but some of them are along the lines of "we're going to do this so that we get the proper shape". That doesn't really say anything. How does it get the proper shape? Please do go into the details. Also, please leave out the music.

Dude, for that you must know some mechanical engineering. Solution: go to college or read several books related to the subject.

@@annakquinn7084 No, this is about workflow in a specific piece of software. Exactly what this channel is for.

@@vodiak to to college and just get the L. Design parameters are based on deep engineering reasons. Way beyond the scope of Workflow, if you want to learn the reason: read the free paper of MIT about toroidal props. On the paper is every related to the design intent.

Have you tried testing this design? Also how would you make the corresponding CCW prop? Thanks!
