Excellent coverage! That Gershman/ Eon Art room was to me, the best sounding room of the show. It sounded unbelievable. It better be considering the price. However, Thomas' Galion with the Lii Audio speakers were the biggest surprise for me. Superb sounding system. Also, the new Monitor Audio Platinum 200's were fantastic.

I asked how the new TOTL Dali KORE compared to the Dali Megaline and he had never heard the Megaline?? A deep understanding a Dali?? Isabeau played with Vincent Belanger in the Gershman room. It was the highlight of the show for me. Bravo. The FR30 from PS Audio sounded good considering an almost square and small room was lot's of hallway noise. Nice job on the interviews.

To say that the new PS audio speaker where in a room too small is an understatement….that was a closet. Really liked the big coherent speakers sound. Honestly though, I’m not sure what to think of the whole show. Lots of expensive stuff. The couple speakers that I heard that where “affordable” where backed up by a amps/source that where many times more expensive than the speakers. It was also my first show, and I think I had higher expectations. Don’t get me wrong, I’ll go next year because it was still fun.…. But you definitely have to take the whole experience with a grain of salt.

Hey Mike! I didn't really know what to expect TBH. It was so awesome and overwhelming at the same time. For me it was like I just learned about gambling and then spent 30 minutes in LasVegas. 🤣. Renè put it best, you get sort of an idea of how the speakers sound and if you like what you hear, go and demo properly with a dealer. He was awesome.. I guess from the exhibitor's point of view, bring your best gear so people see what they're capable of and what trickles down into their more affordable stuff. Would love to have that crazy disposable income, but here I am typing this while listening to what I have. And it sounds sooooooo good.. Oh man, do I love this hobby 😍. 🍻

I believe this was the "Corby's Audio room". This was a review I didn't end up getting due to time constraints, but the speakers were his "Model 18" with a large 18" driver and a mounted compression horn. Hand made in Montreal! They were beautiful and the room actually sounded really nice too.

More of the same as last year which was the same as the year before which was the same as the year before that which was the same......... The names may have changed, the appearance may have changed, the one thing you can count on is that the prices went up, but the technology remains pretty much the same from year to year. Funny the guy with the speakers from Europe saying European speakers were brighter than American speakers. Sixty years ago it was the other way around. The one interesting thing I saw was the harp player. Given the refresh rate of my monitor I could see the strings wiggle around like strands of wet spaghetti. This was what I had to calculate when learning about Bessel functions many decades ago as an engineering student. Strings and percussive instruments break up into harmonic modes this way. It doesn't matter which side of the harp you are on, both sides will sound the same. Therefore the audiophile myth of absolute phase is debunked for these types of instruments. For singers and instruments where air is blown through a pipe such as a pipe organ, brass instruments, and wind instruments the first wave is always a compression wave because air is always blown, never sucked. It is said some people can hear the difference according to some independent sources. Personally I can't. Of all of the problems with audio technology as it exists and has existed, if it's a problem at all it's among the least significant of the problems.

I feel the say about Camera equipment 😂 This was my first audio show, so all new to me and really fun. Lots to learn! I agree about the harpist part.
