Thanks for the video! Wish there was a way I could ask for advice by email or another way. Have the Hegel H90 and am considering the H390 but am wondering if it would be better to keep the H90 and go for a better DAC, the Chord Hugo TT2. Have the Cornwalls but also got a pair of Magnepan 1.7s for pretty cheap, $750 and also am curious how that extra power would do for them, thanks :)

Great work as usual Jordy. But the PS AudioFR20's which I heard at a friends home here in Phoenix, AZ were designed to bring the best and worst out of recordings. My modified Cornwall IV's unfortunately behave like this since I did my mods to them.

Yea, that's pretty much what I found out. I'm hesitant to make drastic changes to my setup because it sounds so good as is! Curious if the FR30's behave this way as well. Such well made speakers!

idk anything about audiowise, but I have had good results with optical isolation of ethernet. and ifi filters. There is a lot to be gained from some filters, but idk about having all those boxes around. If he combined all that stuff into 1 box, I could see some value. It looks like it is probably all off the shelf stuff that you could DIY for much cheaper.

My question is how all of this stuff compares with just using a DDC. The comment Dan made about his client selling his Dave after hearing the Mojo 2 with the Rf blocking gear was really interesting! 🍻

@@MisterChibs yeah, if it's true. His stuff would work with a ddc, it wouldn't replace it. They do different things.

My guess regarding the FR20 is that the Accuphase amplifier had issues with your less than well recorded track. Accuphase being Class A will be very revealing of bad recordings.
