It's built on a foundation of ideas and it's within our duty to morally do what is right but all in the same time to preserve our Canadian identity, history and cultural values. Most who will speak out against terrorism will target a demographic and painting them with the same brush colour creating a stereotype. Many immigrants from different backgrounds integrate and assimilate to Canada, but not everyone understands that it's only a certain percentage who doesn't and it's the government's fault for that.

This individual speaking hit all the right points. Bravo. It seems that nowadays, statues and such are either being torn down or history is being rewritten. Well, the past is the past. We cannot go back in time, (unless one time travels), and change history to our liking. No. It is what it is. We move forward, never forgetting the mistakes of our past but please, do not tear down this country's achievements and historical significance. Nothing is perfect, never will be. Life may even be boring if everything was perfect. Mother Nature is not perfect. Life evolves and so does a country and it's people. For better rather than worse, so to speak. There was a time when Canada only had 8 million people but was a force to be reckoned with at the time of WW2. We had the second best navy and army in the world, and we eventually had leaders such as Hume Wrong and Lester Pearson (who would later become our Prime Mknister). Canada was a leader in the Commonwealth of Nations with the US looking to Canada for advice and leadership. Yes, you read it right. What happened to us? Well, over time, we changed course due to monetary and economic reasons to pick and choose our marbles, so to speak. Read the book "While Canada Slept". It chronicles this country's history as a nation of great thinking and individual leadership. The book was written in the late 2000s but is still relevant today. I am a proud Canadian of Italian descent and, in spite of everything both good and bad, will always be proud of this great, wonderful and majestic nation. 🇨🇦
