I've ridden both systems, just 2 of several systems I've used. Montreal gets full marks for putting the entire system underground. This has enhanced the useful life of equipment and saved thousands of dollars on dealing with weather related problems, especially in our Canadian winters. Not to mention all the grief and aggravation for all. Toronto gets credit for the way that passengers can get on and off with ease at the ends of routes rather than wait on a platform for the train to switch tracks before boarding. Nice and convenient when one train pulls out, to go into another and sit down on the next one.

+Joyce Taylor Also, I would add that TO design helps for ventilation, which saves HUGE MONEY on Hydro. So, it all depends how you look at it. MTL gets to keep their trains longer, but spends lots of money running ventilation systems across the system. Something that doesn't occur in TO, because there is always a break in the tunnel and air escapes. Especially when the AC is on. And that means less noise on the stations that those ventilation fans make.

+Joyce Taylor I would also add that TO subway cars are also wider, since it's a standard gauge. Means more space inside the cars. And the fact that it rides on steel, it's a smoother ride. And in the new trains, you hardly hear the track "clacking". It's very quiet inside those trains. You also hardly hear the Air conditioners when they're on. And finally, the fact that it's partially above ground makes gives an operator a bit of a break of constantly being underground in the dark. It's nice that the train gets on the surface for a few stops and you get some sunlight.

+Gisele Ngalula The Azur cars are being introduced here in Montreal. But being entirely underground is wonderful! I could go to my university without having a coat!

EXCELLENT video! I had the pleasure of riding the TTC way back in 1980 then again upon my last visit to Toronto in 2012. It was a MUST for me to ride the TTC both trips since I'm from NYC and grew up riding the subway there (in addition to being a train/subway enthusiast). I found the TTC SPOTLESS (superbly clean, stations and tracks), safe with beautiful stations. I made sure during the 2012 visit to video record for my channel the subway ride I had taken. Canada, Canadians are wonderful and Toronto is stunningly beautiful!

A personal trainer like them and a Final Run for the H5 Subway Car or a TR train repeatedly denied due to TTC Worker Quality and training blows around North York Centre and Summerhill stations. They are return to Polo mushrooms base thru Wellesley St. E and Lakeshore Blvd W at Baie D'Urfe like CN Rail, VIA Rail Canada and CP Rail on special Railroad crossings over Montreal, ON and some stopped by Long Branch GO Station to be evacuated from Baie D'Urfe to Toronto Union Station. I am breaking around the town, but you need to take the GO Train from Toronto Union Station to Allandale Waterfront the Barrie Line like this one.

+Crazy Maniac I think NYC's will look even more like this in the future. The MTA is about to do a pilot program with extended train cars, or rather ones that you can simply walk between without having to go outside of the car. I used to like walking from one end of the train to the other when I lived in the city. I have to say, I don't miss taking the subway.
