Great soundtrack. 👍 I remember hanging out downtown at the Eaton’s Centre in 82 as a 15 yr old. Such great memories. ✌️❤️🇨🇦

Being 14 in 1984, I wish I had appreciated how Toronto was and what it has turned into. Seeing the Ex, and that Humber area. When you could actually see the lake, and not walls of 30/40 story concrete ‘cells’ that destroy the beauty of what once was.

Silly as it sounds, in the late 1960's I used to take the Berry Rd bus to go to the Humber loop just for fun. I was a 9 year kid. They had a good candy display inside the Humber loop. Would buy my favourite Caramilk!😁 then take the Long Branch streetcar for a little trek.

Fantastic video! Does anybody remember the colourful painted mural on the east wall of the old Toronto Transfer Tavern on the northwest corner of Ossington and Queen St. that had images of old PCC and CLRV streetcars and of the OLD TTC trolley buses (the ones that ran along Ossington Av. BEFORE the "Flyer" trolley buses that are filmed here)? The mural was painted over with white paint in late 1991. I hope someone got photos of that mural to preserve its TTC artwork.

in the 60's to get to MLG from the west end Anglesey bus to jane and bloor then streetcar to Keele and then on the subway downtown. we used to go as KIDS on a Sunday aft to see Toronro Marlborough's I think it was a dime to get downtown with a bunch of transfers

Packed with people, uncomfortable, prone to breaking down.. yeah they were great.. lol. I get your nostalgia but really the new streetcars they have now are amazing and far superior in every way.

I tell ya. The old Trolley Buses would run better today than those hybrid electric buses on the streets now. I think there was absolutely no reason to get rid of the trolley buses.

Just saw this posting now. (And--presuming that no one has already asked [and/or answered] these questions, I must now ascertain: 1) What is the name of the instrumental song that was being played; in this posting?; and 2) Was everything--in this posting--recorded in late August 1982 and/or early September 1982....when....the annual Canadian National Exhibition would be taking place?)
@hoteldennis Жыл бұрын
I'm afraid I don't know the song being played. I picked it from a selection that KZbin once offered to accompany videos because it was the closest fit to the time length of the video. I did film this in August of 1982 when the CNE was taking place.
