This will be the last driving video on this channel for quite a while, but there will be a few more uploaded to the Johnny Stumbles channel in the coming days. Cheers!

Was wondering if there are open roads with sweeping curves next to mountains / lakes close to Toronto (around Lake Simcoe perhaps?). But I couldn't find any on Google Maps. Would be great if you could do one such drive in early Spring on a glorious sunny morning.

Hey Johnny. First of all, I'd like to tell you that I really appreciate your content. Your narrated videos are quite unique and you inspire me to maybe move to Toronto in the future. Related to the US tour idea, I believe would be neater if you do a Canadian cities tour. I would really appreciate watching you visit other canadian major cities, even though it may not get you as many views as the US one. Keep up the good work my friend!

I watched your July 20,2021 video from Burlington to downtown live and that was great! Great to see the great maintenance being done on the QEW! It's summer and it's essential for our roads across the province . It slows things down but it's worth it and of course I'm just saying because you understand. Whenever I go into Toronto ( I don't work there ) I drive to either the Burlington or Oakville Go station and take the GO to either the Ex or Union. I love roads and I love transit especially subways and bus and LRT. Ive done all those modes in many parts of the country. Thanks so much.

Johnny, whenever I bring a new visitor to the city, they think the Humber Bay towers is Downtown Toronto. You are correct, none of them were around up until a decade ago. I remember old motels. Now it looks like the view you get on the Dan Ryan expressway driving into the Chicago Loop.

So much development around Humber Bay ! Palace Pier was the only building I saw throughout my early adulthood. And then the second Palace Pier.

back in the 70' i worked in those little hamburger shacks near the sunnyside pool ...at that time the American's flocked to our city ..and the swimming was relatively safe .

At the 12:24 mark, yes the Skytower will be the tallest building in Canada with exception the CN Tower.
@lastchretien4 жыл бұрын
One Bloor West has just applied to increase its height by nine storeys, I believe. If that gets approved, 1BW will be back solidly in the lead.
@C-mac_in_the_6ix4 жыл бұрын
@@lastchretien haha! Reminds me of the battle between The Manhattan Company Building and the Chrysler Building. Bother were going up at the same time in New York and they kept raising the heights to out do each other...lol. I was doing some research, if it's gets approved, it will be the height of the building to 337m. That's friggin tall...lol.

Humber Bay Shores is a lovely little enclave... all the towers are fine with me considering the beautiful parkland surrounding them. And, people have to live somewhere, folks! I also can’t wait for that awful parking structure at Lake Shore and Lower Simcoe to be redeveloped.

In New York City, a right turn on red is not permitted with the exception of a sign stating it is permitted at an intersection.

I once drove down Young after taking my parents to the airport at I guess 2:00 am from 401 to front and then Lakeshore all the way back to Grimsby . It was surreal with so little traffic.

10:53 does anyone know story behind why the city tore down the exit to York Street from the Gardiner. All that remains is that circular column and it has become a park.(if you look at the right side)
@lastchretien4 жыл бұрын
They replaced that exit to make Harbour Street better for pedestrians and cyclists, and that park will soon be replaced with a nicer park as it is currently essentially just grass. I believe the City is calling it ‘Love Park’ because it will have a large heart shaped fountain.

i think the city management destroyed the waterfront ...all those condo's disgusting ..they should of created a european style boardwalk with restaurants .cafe's .
@bluedjay694 жыл бұрын
Sadly, the waterfront has always been an afterthought from the get-go. The good thing is the city is making it up in building the portlands which I am excited about. Hope Johnny visits that area as it is getting built. Apparently, the new bridges are now in place and would love to see them :)
